25 - Wojciech Szczęsny

NTC with a Positive attitude
Guy needed game time to get into his grove. Good.
I believe he will improve further. That being said, we shouldn't expect him to play sweeper keeper or 11th man on the ball keeper.
But if we want a reliable shot-stopper with presence in the box, he's HIM. He also seems to be a player who exudes confidence to the defenders.
Which we have thoroughly lacked for the last decade. Hope this is a turning point for us.

Very good performance. Was a major part of the win. The way he made it across the goal to stop that rebound was outstanding.

That is the added benefit of having a tall goalkeeper with wingspan.

A little trivia.
It might have been 2010 or 11...in CL Barcelona vs Arsenal in a play off.
Szczęsny had a tremendous game in the 1st leg in London. He even managed to redicule Messi in his one on one effort. I think Arsenal won that match.
On the 2nd leg though, Szczęsny broke his finger, not long after the match started. When he was leaving the pitch injured he was booed. It was cruel. Those of you who booed him that day now have a chance to apologize. Do it now! I command!
