For pace alone, Balde is a huge profile to add to the squads defence given the circumstance.

Same line of argument that would be used when claimed Brahim Diaz was unfairly treated and 'bias' picking Gavi.

Balde is there. You can start be claiming who should be there instead if claiming bias.

Lets make it easy.. I will say Balde is there on merit ahead of any others that could have been picked. No need to name 'top 5'.

Also factors he has covered well for Barca at RB, has great pace which is missing from Spain back line at times and is famililar with a lot of the squad.

There are plenty of reasons why he was picked. Ignore them as have in past and just scream 'bias'!

Would of had Cucurella and Grimaldo well ahead of even Gaya or Alonso who get picked for LB, but pretty clear Enrique doesnt rate them
Then even consider likes of Bernat for experience

But nah, kid who hadn't played with this side ever goes in on basis of who may likely play CB or DM/CM and claim will fit team better based on sum of its parts
Wonder what likes of Fran Garcia will have to do to get anywhere near similar benefit of doubt

See if gets in team, would probably get rekt by most athletic RCAM/RWs out there anyways at this stage of his career
