4 - Ronald Araújo

He's a great example for how far you can get with hard work and right mentality. He always had great physical predispositions but was extremely raw player when he came to Barca B with (at that time) probably low chances to make it and stay longterm in the first team, possibly the club thought he could maybe stay around as a backup for a few years or just be sold for profit. But he improved immensely and cheap punt for the future turned out a great success. We need more of those in our current financial situation.

Other thing to mention is how much easier is to get to Barca B and develop there under no/less pressure rather than being thrown straight into the first team under spotlight where folk expect immediate results and usually don't care how old/or rather young you are. FFS we have people here constantly complaining about Pedri or Gavi and won't even mention calling out Ansu after his injuries. They were all thrown into the water at very young age just because we didn't have many other options after bad squad building/planning for years. Sometimes you just need to have patience with youngsters and it will pay off in the end.

Hard disagree

Valverde watched the B team and immediately proffered Araujo to Todibo.

Valverde doesn't just give any young plsyer chances

See Mina, Malcom etc

He really has the potential to be one of the best CB in the history. Let's hope that he will not do an Umtiti and destroy any of his limbs.

Kinda glad the next world cup is still three years away. Although to be fair, Araujo already showed he wouldn't do an Umtiti and choose even playing at the World Cup for his country over his long term career. But he has been known to be a little injury prone in the past, so we need to stay wary either way.

We need to sogn another top CB, so we can rest Araujofor every big game, he is injzry prone.

Woth player like N'Dicka we can do that.

With Garcia and Alonso we can't.

Blaugrana al vent
He was the most positive defender in the attacking sense today... back him to score in the return fixture considering the height of United's defenders

Frustrating that he was stuck at RB. Kounde-Alonso not very assuring. Need one of Araujo or Christensen at CB at all times, preferably both.
