Why would we agree for a loan? We're stupid but not that stupid (hopefully). They probably want to sell him and replace him with Tah but even that's stupid. Finally after decades of soft or nonexistig CB we got this monster and we want to sell him.

I always expected he'll extend in the end but this looks serious. Fabrizio doesn't say what Araujo wants, hope he says no.

I think Barca offered him a wage under what he deserves and they want to sell him for a few years now. He's not a La Masia Catalan golden boy so he's one of the few that can bring them some money while also agreeing to leave because he's a professional with ambition who wants to play.

I take it back if he's demanding a huge salary and that's the reason that the renewal didn't happen but I'm 99% sure that is not the case.

It's funny how people always use beast or monster to describe this guy, it's very accurate, but not in the way they think.

I liked him playing for Uruguay, but anyone who thinks he won't get exposed at the top level again or is the "best defender ITW", knows nothing about defense.

Selling him now and getting someone that doesn't have injury or decision making problems is the most obvious move. Value has already gone down.
