It depends if the unhappy player is professional enough to keep playing on the same level or he will act like an offended child. I believe Araujo is professional enough to keep playing until summer. I rather get 20m less in the summer for him, but have a top defense in the second half of the season than getting money now and lose all trophies because Garcia needs to defend in big games.

It's strange, but even weirder things have happened between managers/agents and clients. Especially in music industry...

I'd say this one is plausible. We will see shortly if there is some truth in this.

Put yourself in his shoes, he's better than all of our defenders bar Cubarsi but they all get a bigger salary than him. I'm sure all of Kounde, Christensen, Inigo and in the future Tah are getting more than Araujo (probably even more than the offer he has on the table). It's possible even Eric is getting more than him lol. This is not greed from the player, it's on the club that created this kind of situation. Even if he looks outside defence and sees what kind of salaries bums like MATS, FDJ, Fati are getting while being shit and he's getting a fraction of that.

They are very different but both very good in their own way. But Inigo is a non factor in Araujo's renewal because of his age.
