Well, I am surprised Juve ended up with Muani but as has been already covered, Araujo’s future revolves around wages. He had been on a pittance for some time, if after 7 seasons you were still among the lowest paid defenders in the squad yet key it would give you pause
I mentioned this previously, contracts of Iñigo & Koundé were unique situations to bring in assets we could’ve/would’ve lost in the open market otherwise but still can’t expect a loyal player to accept a fairly transparent lack of respect for his value to the club
Probably his last major contract for next 3-4 years. I hope he stays and is happy with an improved contract that fits in the wage structure but there is of course more to life than reaching a certain financial threshold set by you & your agent
