Tranquilo, soooo much misinformation out there - everyone rushing to make conclusions on what happens next

If we’ve learned anything in last month, wait for the club to answer

Bring Virgil if he leaves.

Two year contract, then straight to LA Galaxy.

Honestly I think we'd be stupid to not even try if his contract talks with Liverpool keep dragging on.
Again with the washed up ex world class players that come here for a last pay day?

I'm trying to look at it from his pov. Money is one thing but don't think he'll become a billionaire at Juve either way.

His plan as I see it could be:
1. Join Juve asap. Become an undisputed starter (he'd be the star of that team at age 26)
2. Play regularly and go into WC26 in top shape (he'll be 27 then)
3. Hope that some top club can convince Juve to sell either then or the year after, at age 28 clubs might start turning their heads with his injury history however
4. Get that last big ass contract as top defender competing for league and CL titles

Perhaps the reason he wants to join now is that staying 18 months compared to 12 makes Juve more likely to sell in future. But there's no way that Juve's "project" can convince him long term.

To point 1) and 2) i dont think he is afraid of being a starter at Barca or at least it's not more difficult than at Juve where Bremer will be definitely start after coming back from injury

The selling thing could be a reason

There cant be sport reasons why he leave, while Juve played their 13rd draw in 20 matches in serie a, Barca is competing for cl and would have reached semi final with his own mistake last season

Someone said here that he got the promise that he will be the top defence earner so maybe he feels betrayed now....

Think one of the main reasons why vini and mbappe (even though he was their best man) were relatively quiet was Araujo so bad for both sides if he leaves but he will take the way bigger damage so ciao 👀

: “It seems that Araújo will STAY at Barcelona for many more years to come.”

hustle_hard_304 called some friends and they convinced Araujo in the dark corner of the parking garage that it's better to stay at Barca :gypsy:

jokes aside, juanmarti is pretty reliable this season. Very surprising turn of events. A clasico win can change some minds, if true obviously.

Guy just wanted some attention and affection.

Now that he is staying and most likely renewing, my stomach turned a bit asking the question, do we really want him long term? Araujo or money, what is truly best for us?

I don't really doubt his level, but all the serious injuries are piling up. Madrid timed the sale of Varane perfectly, we didn't with Umtiti. Let's see how Araujo pans out.

If he does stay, as I suspected, the whole saga leaves a sour taste and not from his side but from the club. The guy is as good a defender out there and it seems obvious to me that they weren't prepared to pay him as much as the likes of Kounde, Inigo and probably Tah.

We have had the 3 best players in the history of football ( Messi, R9 and Maradona ). One we let go on a free and the other 2 we sold in their prime.

Obviously Ronald is not at that level, but he really should have been prioritised and done and dusted months ago. It boggles my mind that we would be prepared to lose him over a few million in wages.

Our Sporting Department will continue to be a massive problem in the future. It's self destructive nature hasn't gone away from the days of R9 and El Diego, unfortunately.
