4 - Ronald Araújo

I hope he stays and receives a salary raise that matches the team's top players. Some people act as if they’ve never had real-world work experience. You can’t blame Araújo for wanting better compensation when he sees others on the team, who contribute less, earning significantly more. Also, after all these years following football, you should know better than to trust random rumors from unreliable sources.
Who earns significantly more while contributing less?

The question of whether or not to extend him is not about his skillset because overall he is a good defender that can help the squad challenge for the titles. Either as a starter or a sub. It is more about his injury record and the wages he wants. Because giving him a new 5-year contract at Kounde's wages is a very stupid decision.

There has not been a season when Araujo was injury free. He misses at least a month or two almost every autumn. He just got back from a 6-month or so injury and the club wants to give a new contract??? I mean what is the rush? Liverpool has three main players out of contract in 6 month and it seems like they are not in a hurry and act calmly and according to the plan.

Right now the news coming from club give an impression that the board and the sporting people are being pressured either by the fans or by Araujo's entourage to act on Araujo's situation and his contract. These decisions should not be made in a hurry. There is some serious money involved which will inevitably affect the squad planning in the future.

Martines is injured.. There is no point in letting Araujo go in this case. And because Araujo still has 1.5 years left on his contract, there should be no rush to act. If Juventus want him so bad and are willing to offer 90 mil for the inconvenience of letting him go in January, then yeah. It makes sense to sell him. If they are not willing to renumerate close to that number, then let them come back in the summer to talk again.

His passing would be as big a issue for flick as it was for Xavi.

Martinez isn't a great passer, he's just left footed and that opens up the field for him.

So when you put Cubarsi on that side and Araujo on the right, you aren't losing much.

that's really amazing, yesterday it was said that he would definitely go and now fabrizio writes that ronald has already agreed to a new contract and it's just a matter of details before the signing. fantastic barca fantastic deco

You're welcome
Happy he is staying given current situation.

But expect the occasional mishap. He is not going to match inigos consistency this season. Not at the moment. As others have pointed out also question mark as to how he will perform laying out offside trap. I think Flick already opted to not play as high looking at last two games which is good for araujo I think.

Looks obvious they tried to lowball him, he didn't accept, started talks with Juve and then we got to 1:1 and could offer him a better contract. All good in the end if he really signs it.

Wonder what this means for Tah, will he come anyway? Doubt it.
