4 - Ronald Araújo

I don't think it's insane. Araujo has his qualities, but so does Garcia. They are pretty much on opposite ends of the CB spectrum

It's a shame Araujo is such a menace for us with the ball at his feet.
The hard facts are any top team looking to play positive and attacking football will struggle very hard with such a big liability on the ball in Araujo.

He is a classic no nonsense center back with little ball playing or carrying ability, and when he is in the side, teams have tried to usher the ball to him and let him stay on it.

This was seen in the PSG game. They were letting him have the ball and laying off him whenever he had it. He had acres of space and time and missed a simple pass that led to him being sent off.

Inigo and Cubarsi in my opinion is the best pairing for us. Garcia vs Araujo is more questionable and Araujo is better but the core point is that with this type of football its clear how hugely we benefit from 2 CBs who can ping the ball around like midfielders.

Between arujo and dejong. If we are ambitious and adventurous enough to go for a striker I would sell dejong.. it's no question. Arujo is useful a lot despite his shortcomings.

Garcia will get his ass handed to him the moment we face any attacking team or a striker that gives even 1% of a fuck lol.

Cubarsi + Araujo is out starting CB pair for the foreseeable future.

Martinez and Christensen are class but they aren't the future.

Wouldn't be opposed to Cubarsi and Christensen, I think that's way better than Cubarsi And Martinez, actually I Know that's way better than Cubarsi Martinez

Martinez is getting a bit overrated here.

Once everyone is fit the ranking is

Cubarsi
Araujo
Christensen
Martinez

Garcia.

Araujo has been getting his arse handed to him for long enough anyway v decent sides too often and that is defensively let alone how much they target him on the ball.

Was destroyed by Real last season. Just scored an og in a game v Benfica and conceded 4.

Last CL game he fell into trap PSG set for him and fucked Barca over.

Cubarsi and Inigo will be the starting pair when Inigo is fit and Araujo will want to go by time summer comes round most likely.

Araujo is going exactly Nowhere in the summer.

Obviously, Araujo is going exactly Nowhere in the near future.

One or both of Martinez and Christensen likely to leave in the summer, for me it's Martinez.

He doesn’t have a future here under Flick’s system. He’d be way better under Simeone for example but for us a defender has to have a modicum of passing ability and he has none.

Sell Araujo which seems to def be happening with his release clause at some point soon anyways.

Buy Huijsen.

Defense is set for a long time.
