4 - Ronald Araújo

He's definitely more of a low block defender, jose would love him.

But where other's complain and see an issue with him trying to pass the ball, i applaud him, It shows he's trying to improve the weak area of his game.

Martinez as been brilliant for a player that's only costing us 9m in wages, but he won't be here past next season, we should have signed him years ago.

For me cubarsi araujo is the medium term for the club.

We are too easy to contain in buildup when he plays. He is a situational player for this setup. I think if we receive 60m-70m we should sell and get a better ball-playing CB

For that kind if money, it would be an easy yes for the club, i couldn't fault them in selling

Dean Huijsen would be everyone's pick, but there would be a bidding war, plus i like my defender's to be a bit different, one needs to have a bit of an edge to them, like Martinez has compared to cubarsi.

Huijsen ans cubarsi would be brilliant, but maybe too same same? I'm not 100% sure.

Very unlikely Barca getting in a bidding wat for Huijsen who appears to be a Real fan and they will need CBs.

If Araujo goes it is far more likely to be for 'cheap' alternative to bolster other areas of squad.

It's most likely still going to be Tah even if Araujo leaves.

Believe the club counts on Inigo for another season so no major investments expected there.

I read somewhere tah is getting a bit impatient with us, tah for araujo would be good business.

Not the german for a barca player I wanted to see this summer, but it would be very good business, Can't fault it if it happens.

No matter what, final final a big player has to leave this summer, we really need to learn to sell better.

Was zonal defending what he was doing.
100% man marking. Did you see where he followed Alvarez into Athletico's half and committed a foul late on? Did you also notice an instance where Inigo covered the right centre half position because Araujo followed Sorloth to the left when Atleti attacked?

That is not zonal defending. Flick is not stupid to replace a Curbasi who is better at positioning and playing out with someone worse in both skills for no reason.

Ignore those who dont know the difference between man marking and zonal defending and probably never played football before except on keyboards.
