Being scapegoated

He's training with huge bits of tape around his knee. Could also be that he's taking it easy ahead of Copa.Xavi is still mad on him LOL.
He has not been playing for a long time.
I agree. I've always liked Araujo but the temperament he displayed this season has been dreadful and embarrassing. It's like Xavi's whining and childish behavior rubbed off on the squad. You are forgetting he made two big errors. The aftermath of the mistake. He was very unwilling to shoulder blame. Acted very childish and stubborn.
And yeah, he single-handedly sabotaged the game.

Next we'll be blaming xavi for inflation and any delays in the construction of the camp nou
Xavi is whiney manchild. That's a fact. Whether it makes influence on the players is anyone's guess. On some could definitely be so.Next we'll be blaming xavi for inflation and any delays in the construction of the camp nou

saltier than the Dead Sea @BirdyThe good news is they will get the chance to win some league titles and go to CL finals now. More than a measly La Liga title in 2 seasons. Likes of Araujo, De Jong etc. are reaching their prime as players. They have something big in store for the fans.
I am sure Araujo technique is gonna improve a lot under Flick and he is not gonna cause stupid pens and make stupid fouls anymore. He learned his lesson the hard way. Because if he does something even remotely as dumb again, bum status is gonna be firmly achieved.
I don't think anyone is shocked about Xavi's dismissal. The debate is mostly whether Flick is an improvement or not, and what everyone's expectations of him are.We have an excellent team and have used more funds in the past 2 seasons than other teams in La Liga have spent in a decade. We have played unattractive and disorganized football, the worst in decades under Xavi. On top of it, we squeaked by last season on many close wins, frequenting 1-0, 2-1 results etc We had a few players in exceptional form I.E. Ter Stegen as well. This season we weren't as lucky. I'm not sure if Flick is the manager to get us playing attractive football again, but what I know is our results weren't great and the footy was trash under Xavi. With our squad and budget since Xavi has taken over, if you can't outshine mid to low table La Liga teams and look anywhere remotely impressive on a regular basis during your wins, you're doing it wrong.
How anyone is shocked about his sacking is perplexing to me. I don't like the way they did it, since it could of definitely been handled better, but it had to happen.
Anyone with half a brain, zero interest in whingeing, petulance and giving stupid excuses for blatant failure, is an upgrade over XaviI don't think anyone is shocked about Xavi's dismissal. The debate is mostly whether Flick is an improvement or not, and what everyone's expectations of him are.
