5 - Carles Puyol

What he gave the team was more than just what you can measure in stats or how you could critique a performance. His heart and guts, the way he lead by example and his attitude gave us a winning spirit. You need real men in a team, so that when the going inevitably gets tough at some point the team doesn't end up going on a bad losing streak afterwards because they were mentally broken at the first taste of struggle.

What a monster he was, maybe the most beloved player among Barca fans. I would prefer to have him in the coaching team or in a post closer to the players.
When Zubi gets the fuck out, id like to see a proven sporting director, not Puyi, even tough he cant be worse.

I'm worried for Puyol. Zubizarreta was also a legend... but has ruined it all, after this dreadful job he's doing as sporting director.

Puyol was one of those players who always gave 100%. A Guardian Angel. I'll never forget his towering headers against Germany and Real Madrid...

Zubi is way behind Puyol in that regard ,Also I don't see Puyol as a clueless stubborn with Barca

I'd rather not risk it. He should take a job within la masia, not alongside Zubi. Zubi might infect him with his stupidity too.

Pls. Pique couldn't infect Puyol with his clownishness, in fact it was the opposite and he looked good alongside Puyol. If anything Puyol should have the same effect on Zubi soon. Actually I'm certain that was the main idea behind offering Puyol that job. If you have someone incompetent in his profession just put Puyol alongside him and the problem is fixed.

Puyol is taking his courses and has more contacts than Zubi and I have no doubt he'll be more successful. I do think however that his talents will be somewhat wasted in a role of director. I'd much rather see him by the sidelines transmitting his passion to players (like Simeone).

Can't see him wearing a suit, though

You are so dearly missed on the pitch, Puyi.
