When people talk about the manita game where ramos put another ramos against xavi AND puyi in a few seconds, this scene always comes into my mind

Xavi telling off the little spoiled brat

For every inch of a player Xavi was, he was not even half the leader Puyol was. The mere presence of the man reeked of a true warrior who you WANT to respect. His persona, his nature of a lion. He probably didn't want a public send off with the club being in the turmoil it was. Man, the things I'd do to watch him take a stand on our pitch once more.
Even the madridistas like him...
Remember when Ramos shoved Puyi in the face? On his way out, he shoved Xavi too who lost his temper. But Puyi, his head is where it needs to be. He can train wreck Ramos if he wanted to. That one instance where a guy actually slapped him, and instead of getting back St him, he ran towards Dinho who wanted to kill the guy for touching Puyi. Like I said, it didn't matter what shirt he wore, it was his personality that made all the difference.
This is a moment that I will never forget, when Barcelona played the Joan Gamper game against Ac Milan in 2010. In that year Ronaldinho was playing for Milan. That year Barcelona won the trophy with Penalties. Puyol being the gentleman he always is , went to Ronaldinho with trophy and told him to celebrate it with his ex-teammates. A simple gesture but a beautiful one.
+1 on all quotes

aout the last one: i love it. see how absolutely touched ronaldinho was? never seen him smile so happily - and as we are talking about ronnie, that really means something. grande puyi!

Not much ,he can be somewhere else in the world and it is rarely that those players have to move around the globe just to be there .Puyol didn't even come to Xavi wedding IIRC b/c he was in the US

What I was trying to say by weird is that Puyol hasn't been near the club/camp nou since he left the board on january. I think that a few things happened between him and probably Bartomeu that made their relation more complicated. He's still present on social networks and congratulating the team when we win a big match (clasico or bayern) but he disappeared from the "blaugrana panorama" .

He's a born leader! No antics whatsoever!

Abidal (CL Final)
Ronaldinho (he called Ronnie for the team photo when Ronnie was playing for Milan to show him that he always belongs to the team. Can you imagine what that means at the Camp Nou in front of all culés?)
Numerous actions on the field.

He left although he still had 2 years on his contract (millions of $).

A great guy, indeed!

The greatest warrior in football history. There were many brutal fucks, but Puyi always was above any dirty aspect of the game. Amazing role model and professional. And still so underrated as a defender.

Whenever I see that gif I always ask myself how the hell he thought it was for him? I mean seriously, Abidal went through a relapse cancer and you think the trophy was for you?
