Yeah, we'll have to wait & see...but I gotta say, I don't like the sound of it...Considering it is Captain Caveman and it was a 'sharp' pain, it makes me wonder if it is an Achilles (knock on wood) injury :nervous2:

Story doesn't end with Puyol being out 20 days, which is bad enough on it's own...Apparently, Puyol arrived from Barcelona with a medical report from the club that cautioned that the player should avoid practice until recovered from the knock that kept him out of the Racing match...Spanish Federation apparently dismissed the club medical report and 5 minutes after being sent out to practice, the injury occurred.
There is sure to be a controversy over this between club & Spanish FA...Although, it will be interesting to see how Rosell handles this...Seems quite clear that the responsibility for this injury (And penalties) should rest with the Spanish FA

If there is any truth in that, the Spanish Federation want their backsides kicking. Hope its no more than 20 days though we have adequate cover

Hijos de puta! I don't know what we can do but the club needs to take a stand against the Federation here, the Spanish have shown complete disregard for the physical wellbeing of our players and we can't let it pass without some form of action. If a medical note has been ignored we should sue the Federation, pursue the doctor(s) who screwed up and do everything in our power to protect our players from the possibility of this happening again. COME ON LIECHTENSTEIN!

oh my god, you have got to be kidding me. I know it's important to have your WC winning squad, but you can do without one of them IF HE'S FUCKING INJURED! Not to mention it is Liechtenstein who Spain could probably beat with their substitutes!
I will not be wearing my España stuff this weekend. I mean I want them to win Euro 2012, but the Spanish FA have been complete assholes since the WC ended, first making everyone bar Iniesta go to Mexico right before we had to play a cup match TO PLAY A FRIENDLY, and now this which is 100x worse.

Not so much that, because he wasn't injured when he was first called up, but they should have listened to him and his doctor who specifically wrote a note saying he was unfit.

Fontas is far ahead of Gomez,he is the captain of the B team and for me along with Thiago,Mino are the only players ready for the first team rightnow,we still have Abidal,Pique,Milito,even Mascherano can play there,Pep even mentioned before that he may use Busquetes as a Cb(he would be A disaster IMO)so lets wait and see
