You don't make excuses for them because excuses can be made. Otherwise you wouldn't be slamming them one day and making them look better the next one.

You make up excuses for them because you go into a zone where you think closing your eyes and burying your head into the sand is better than looking at the shit that is happening right in front of you.

Good for you then. As I said, you can keep doing that. I won't.

Are we really going to call each other for our opinions;now?
Come on man, football isn't an exact science anyway and people have different opinions. The market right now is more difficult than ever.
We really need to stop putting each other on making excuses for board vs whiners who complain about everything

We can do better and win this season, but I'd rather look at both short- and long-term than only next day or month.

If we sign no one and win La Liga or CL this season, I would be as happy as I never been as a Barca fan. Would teach people a lesson that Barca is more than the sum of it's players. The more people count us as underdogs, the more chances we have of coming back strong.

If Barca is all about the sum of its players, who are we as a club? Is the Neymars that make Barca be what it is? I belive there is more to it. There is a culture and an identity that will not go down at the first sign of trouble, but will get together and be united to prove this important point: that Barca is more than just a sum of top class players. Because if we aren't, how are we different than PSG? PSG will suddenly be what Barca represents in football because they got Neymar?

When that happens, I'll quit supporting a single club. What's the point anyway?

I don't see how incompetence can be excused.

Sorry for being blunt.

I make excuses for them, because excuses can be made for 75% of the things people say they are responsible for (speaking strictly speaking about transfers, not about the shit they caused in other areas, were we are in total agreement). Nobody expected Neymar to hit us in the head like that. The MSN was fine, nobody thought we will have to look for a LW. That hit us hard. The RB position was the most detrimental last season, and they got the right player in there, the player many had as their no1 option - Semedo.

Roberto, Rakitic, Busquets, Iniesta, Alena these are good players in midfield. You seem to forget that the no1 issue in our midfield was Lucho's fucked up, stiff as shit tactics, not necessarily having poor players. Far from it. With the same players, Valverde got a better passing game in the first game. Tactics are KEY. Movement is key. We were horrible at both. I can tell you right now that this midfield is underrated as hell. Poor tactics have made our players look like poor players. Barca only has good players or great players in midfield. When we got our shit together we dominated some of the best teams in La Liga.

So, let's get together, stop crying like babies, and realize that shit happens, but the team is still going strong. Lost Neymar, shit happens, hopefully, we sign some great players in return. If not possible, we attack with what we have, and with a firm belief in our philosophy, as always.

That's pretty ridiculous Serghei. You cannot at this point continue giving the board the benefit of the doubt when time and again they have shown you they do not deserve it.

They have the club in a steep downward spiral and you're here saying everything is hunky dory and the bad things can simply be explained with "shit happens"

This team needed a strong renewal project even before they lost Neymar and they've basically done nothing all summer. Things are not butterflies and rainbows.

I'm only giving them the benefit of the doubt in this transfer window, and strictly regarding transfers. Of course I don't back them regarding the shit they dragged the club in.

They signed Semedo and they are trying to sign Coutinho as Iniesta's/Neymar's replacement. Both were my top picks for RB and left midfielder positions when the transfer window started. Neymar situation caught everyone off guard, can't blame anyone but Neymar and his father for it tbh.

What is your predictions for this season seeing as Barca are on such a terrible downward spiral?

Wow lol. This might've been the single most atrocious transfer window I've ever experienced as a Barca fan, and the lowest the board has ever dragged us. How can you excuse what's happening right now?

We've taken at least 4 certified L's this summer and are yet to take 3-5 more that may come our way. Coutinho/Dembele looking increasingly unlikely. The board get paid to do a job and they've redefined what it means to be incompetent, especially given the vast resources and advantages at their disposal. But "shit happens" lol.

I truly hate this arguments.
Every club, organization are pretty much group of people and it all depends on how good they are. RM didn't win CL for 30 something years when he didn't have the work force to do it. Great players build clubs, so to answer you we are a club of great players.

Never said Barça was about the fancy players.

The club doesn't win titles. The players and the coach does. What the club can do is provide the players and the coach better support, if they don't do that then they're doing a bad job which in return puts the team and coach at disadvantage and in a worse position than thet ideally should be.

I'm tired of the club not giving them a better chance to succeed. That's it.

Not going to excuse it. I've said we can win, but if you're going to let one player in particular carry you all the time, you're going to face a reality check sooner or later.

The coach and the players are not miracle workers. You have to provide them with the best they can get to increase their chances for success.

When you lose Neymar and struggle to replace him and improve the midfield, you're not helping their chances even if the tactics are better.

The team is effectively worse. A Barça with better tactics, With Neymar and a WC midfielder is better than a Barça without Neymar and without an improvement in the midfield personell.

Don't agree with it at all. Neymar deal is causing an absolute meltdown that's what it is. We need to get over it.

How can you though? They have shown you nothing to merit your faith in them. Nothing.

I think your deep desire of seeing the club do well and prosper is manifesting as blind faith on a group of people that have done nothing but put their foot in their mouth for a while now.

Better to recognize their ineptitude and pray for a miracle that they somehow fall ass backwards into the right choice. Like they did with Semedo.

What 4 L's? The most important target was a RB, they got that one and for good money. Midfielder is tricky. You need a world class midfielder. We tried that. It didn't work. Maybe we just can't sign the players we need, and in this situation we'd better trust our own players.
