6 - Gavi

Was towards the end of the game, but played much better when he was asked to play deeper.

Keep saying it, that's his position, everyone who understands the game knows this.

He as ok.

Lacked any real quality on ball whether further forward or deeper.

Miles off FDJ who to be fair is by far Barcas best player.

Looked a little better when he played deeper once Romeu went off.
Valverde would be getting crucified if he used Gavi as a workhorse on the wing the way Xavi does.

Because valverde is a piece of poop, but yea gavi isn't being used optimally.

But I'm not too worried he's a kid, just gotta take the minutes where they come.

Gavi is on the wing in part because he was miles off Pedri, FDJ at CM.

That position fitted him in more than anyone else.

He is not showing a lot on the ball these days... very little pass to open game up, awareness or range of passing.

He’s certainly not as good as either right now, but it’s a Kounde at RB situation. Clearly a better player than all our current alternatives. Unless Felix delivers. So there’s no real competition between the 3.

Thought his 2nd half was immense tonight.

Gavi immense in second half?

Steady on. Absolutely no chance.

He was better than first but still limited on ball.

Just wasnt as passive as first half.

Shows how low bar is for Gavi if that is 'immense'.

Was fucking miles off FDJ when both deeper.

Won plenty of balls, was everywhere on the pitch. Had some brilliant tackles (that got called fouls wrongly…). Great game.

Did have a couple good tackles... was not 'everywhere' at all.

Showed very little quality on ball.

Never seen such an average at best peformances described as 'immense'.

Have to try and grab what can I suppose.

Was levels below FDJ clearly in that second half.

Low bar.

His creativity ability is lower than that of Gattuso.

The sooner Xavi realizes that he is a very overrated player, the better.

1. He's 19
2. Stop playing him on the fucking wing

If he isn't good enough to start in midfield he needs to up his game (once more, he is 19 ffs, shouldn't be anywhere near starting) or go on loan. I hate to harp on but Xavi is totally clueless and it's going to fuck up the development of our young players. Imagine playing Gavi ahead of The Shark right now.

Gavi, in the world of soccer, is like a kid with a spark of wildness in him, maybe even a little like a mischievous demon. Each time he plays, it's like he's showing that fiery side. But, here's the twist: if we don't show him love and support, that spark could go in the wrong direction, like a compass without a guide.

It's all about how we take care of this talent. If we don't give him the encouragement he needs, it's like we're suffocating that spark. We've got to cheer for him, guide him, and let him feel our support. If we don't, that fiery energy could lead him astray. But with the right care, that same energy can become his strength. So, just like a kid who needs guidance, Gavi needs our love to make sure he becomes a soccer powerhouse and not a lost spark.

Was a big proportion of the Gavi hype train in the past but it's clear he's not progressed at all over the last 12 months.

Really offers us nothing but a hothead and lots of running.
He was dreadful last night.
