6 - Gavi

Problem is, he isn't and never will be good enough to be a starter at the level we need Barca to be. I love his heart and fighting spirit, and he isn't too shabby as a football player - but he isn't even on the level Sergio Roberto was at. He needs to sit his ass down on the bench and the grown ups need to figure out how we utilize him. Nobody in their right mind will offer us anything for him, "big" clubs understand Masia is both a blessing and a curse - Pedri is IT, Gavi for sure isn't IT.

At his best? Good engine, good passing, doesn't excel in anything but can be a top midfielder because he has a vast skill-set.
Sorry, but I disagree - train has left and won't be coming back for Gavi as a "top midfielder". Gavi is like one or a couple steps behind Sergio Roberto. I Actually didn't get all the bickering Roberto got, he was a very good squad player (who should have never played RB to begin with).

The problem with La Masia is they have a high floor and a low ceiling usually at a young age.

People project them to improve at a linear rate due to age. Kinda hasn't happened except for the actual god tier players like Messi/Iniesta etc.

His biggest issue is his position. What is he and where does he fit in the midfield. He doesn't have great attacking qualities or defensive attributes. He's sort of mediocre at both. He did his hand on heart, blood and guts pantomime and all the stupid Catalan fans overhyped him to a stupid degree.
He's a squad player and nothing else.
