Gavi’s new contract is in final stages & a final meeting needs to happen to secure a deal. It’s not completed yet because of the salary structure situation, but the feeling from all sides is that it’s just a matter of time. For Araujo, patience. @FabrizioRomano

That's what you want to hear.

Nice comp of our little young lion. I'm sure he's not going anywhere.
What is most impressive how physically dominant he is at tender age of 17. He's not even physically matured yet. Imagine what monster he will be in his 20ties. That in combo with immaculate technique and good vision. Barca would be crazy to let him leave and he probably knows he would regret leaving too, This son is staying home.

Don't think he would go to Madrid. The only other La Liga team I could see him playing for would probably be Betis where he started his career but he clearly wouldn't go there at this stage of his career.

There is absolutely nothing special about FC Barcelona that would make him not listen to offers from other clubs. He is born in Seville, that alone makes him far more likely to move to Real Madrid than a player born in most other parts of Spain. This is something Johan Cruyff recognized back in the 70s when he was just a player at Barcelona. This is why he nerver tried to sign players from the south of Spain, cruyffs motto was 1/3 cataln born player, 1/3 spanish born player (preferably from regions with the least ties to Madrid) and 1/3 foreign born players.

And multiple players in FC Barcelona history has had strong ties to Real Madrid. If a player is not good enough Real Madrid will not bother. Gavi is one of the 5 best sub 20 players in Spain, Real Madrid would love to sign him.

Delusional if you think he goes to Madrid at any point of his career.
