only you & one other person on here thinks that lol

But your right about de jong re time, but in comparison to De jongs 80m is money well spent compared to 65m on Torres, who will never have even half the season de jong has last season.
First, write down that Ferrand was worth 55 million euros.

10 million euros are bonuses - for winning the Champions League, the golden ball, etc.

Secondly, Man City agreed to sell him for 45 million euros, but we did not have such an amount at that time and Barcelona asked to spread the payments over a longer period, so City asked for 55.

Thirdly, who named De Jong the MVP of the second season? Stupid fans who don't understand anything about football?

For De Jong gave 75 million euros plus bonuses. That is 20 million euros more than for Torres. At the same time, tell me what is De Jong's salary? He's average at 6 and he's average at 8. Precisely because he's poor at 8, our midfield has been poor since Pedri's injury. Even Busquets did more progressive passes than De Jong.

Absolute nonsense.

FDJ was by far Barcas best mid and bossing Real etc x3.

'Stupid fans'....

FDJ is only second to Messi in 'through balls' since signed at Barca and should have had double digit assists if chances were finished.

As said.. Barca beat Real twice without Pedri with FDJ best player on park.. then he gets injured and Barca lose 4-0 at home.

De Jong gets salary at the De Bruyne level, but what does he do on the field at the De Bruyne level?

Even if it was 45m it's still a bad deal he's just not offered enough.

Re de jong chill, a couple posters on here gonna come get it.

List 5 matches in these 4 years against top teams when De Jong showed a game of the highest level?

Last 3 games v Real this year was world class... as he was when ran rings round them when won 4-0 away previous season.

No need for last 4 years.

De bruyne is a level too far

He would be at for the price paid consistently world class & amongst the best on the world

Instead we have fans pointing to random games he played well & that he's better than kids, he has a better season than gavi, a slightly better game(if that) than Enzo, he's freaking 26/27 years old for fucks sake.

At this point In his career regardless of the surroundings, he should be compared to the Rodri's kimmich's of the world, that's what should be expected for the money paid, that doesn't happen because he'll lose every single time.

But he did play some good stuff 2nf half, if he kicks on from that and produce consistent WC performances, I'll wave the white flag.

Torres is still poor though, can't compare him to de jong.

KDB is far better than any Barca attacking player and a top player.

It is irrelevant.

None of the Barca midfield are on his level and furthest behind are the actual attacking mids who are being asked to do a similar job.

FDJ was Barcas best mid the season before last and was Barcas best player in lead up to WC break.... usual nonsense being spouted.

The Gavi age excuses are amusing when the argument used to be Gavi was better.

Expected though.

Again, this guy gets the same salary as De Bruyne.

He played over 150 games for the club, scoring 15 goals and providing 20 assists.

Okay, you say that there are, for example, players like Modric who score and provide few assists, but their level of influence in the final third of the opponent's field is very high. So, do you feel such an impact on De Jong's attacking game? If yes, why is Xavi actively looking for mid laners with high offensive potential? Yes, because he saw that when Pedri is not on the field, neither De Jong nor Gavi are able to create anything in the final third of the field. Notice I'm not just talking about goals and assists.

But no one in Barcelona gets as much as De Bruyne, except for DE JONG.

SO why the hell are you criticizing Torres for his poor second part of the season in his first full season, but had patience with De Jong who was absolutely average for 3 years in a row.

Again...he doesnt and Busquets was on more than KDB last season if want to go down that route.

FDJ got the better of Modric consistently last season.

What is he good at? What does he bring to the team? Three years in a row he ran on the field like a headless chicken and only this season he showed a more or less good level, but far from such that he receives as much as De Bruyne.

Even if Ferran ever prove his worth, it won't be here.
Mentally he is just not there for whatever reason. It happens, and him having just broken up with his GF, I think fresh start is the best solution for everyone

False... Busquets was on more than FDJ last season and FDJ gets less than likes of Lewa when take into consideration what earns across each season.

Fake news... FDJ was Barcas best mid since arrived and voted player of year in 2nd season... was by far best midfielder when Barca had run of form under Xavi in first season also.

If you cant see what he brings then thats on you.

FDJ is exact opposite of a 'headless chicken'.
