It was a promising half of a la liga season, everyone hoped he would get even better when he has adapted but instead he is delivering almost exclusively mediocre to outright horrible performances.

He is the 3rd most expensive player EVER, earns a huge salary but here we are arguing if he is playing better than Alena and discussing if we should keep him as a backup LW or not. We also already reinforced our midfield for next season with Frenkie so even less chance of him making it there meaning we have two LWs that costed us 130 and 160 mil.

That situation is just far from ideal or would you disagree? Coutinho isn't just any ordinary player, he was so god damn expensive that we have to do whats best to make use of that money what means we either get this work and this means he will be an important starter not just a player for rotation or we have to try to recover as much as possible by selling him and the longer he plays like this for us the lower his price will be.

If we continue with Valverde and Coutinhos situation doesn't change in the next 2 months we really should try to sell him. We are already at the limit when it comes to wages and it looks like we are going to spend 200M this summer window, so we can't keep the luxury of having a 160M backup for much longer.

But I really doubt he'll play like a monster in the remaining two months till the end of the season so that he'll convince everybody he should stay.
Barca must sell and must let other clubs know that asap.

He was one of our top players last year--looked much more likely as a long term player at Barca did than Dembele did in fact. Though PC was limited to a half year with Barca, and he wasn't CL eligible (thus league and cup). [at least he can take no blame for the CL disaster]


Still think for a good price, range of 2/3 of his transfer fee or more, selling is probably the right thing.

Best case scenario is he does a Bale for us. Not quite good enough overall, but some great goals at the right time. That would be enough imo if the goals are key. Score a great one in a CL semifinal or final, and nobody will care he did shit vs Valladolid and Rayo in the middle of the season.

Ideally you'd want and expect both, but if consistency is not there, then he should step up in the big games and be decisive like everybody knows he can be.

have u noticed when ever coutinho comes off for either dembele or malcolm. messi starts to play better

either that or it's when vidal comes on. it's as if pace is required with dembele or malcolm. malcom can f*** up as much as he wants but theres more chance of a finishing product than coutinho.

We should be fine playing him in the midfield in about 80% of our games. Maybe not against Madrid and the knock out stages of CL.

we have seen this all before.. he wont't come good.
Barca fans have seen this before. it wont happen. we keep believing something will change but it never does.

all it does is ends up playing the same player again in the most important moments towards the end of the season and it just upsets the team.

this is the perfect opportunity to put malcolm in and keep him there.
