Speed isn't only about top sprint speed. In fact, top sprint speed is almost useless when it comes to actual game play unless in a full breakaway scenario.

Of course, I agree. And I was taking about a full breakaway scenario precisely, a 3 vs 1 counter at the end of the game. In the actual game, quick bursts of acceleration and ability to change direction are far more important than just pace.

Messi on TV about hushing fans who'd whistled Coutinho "It is not the moment to criticise anybody, but to support and be all together. It is ugly for a teammate to be treated like that on way off."

STFU Messi, fck Coutinho

Captain Messi spoke well here. This is not the time to whistle him. Also it is another message from the team that he is liked by the locker room bosses.

So don't be surprised when he pulls a Suarez and stinks the place at will for next season also

Reality is, whistling isnt beneficial in any way. Players know when they play shit or not. Whistling will just create more pressure.

Yeah, but this isn't some temporary blip. He's been shit for a while now. His body language stinks.

He should look at someone like Vidal. Not super gifted technique wise but huge heart and attitude.

Dembele needs to start vs Liverpool who's trying to push the game. He would kill them in counter.

You want to defend vs Liverpool with Dembele? Only way can Dembele starts in England is instead of Suarez, and that simply ain't happening.

Counter by definition is absorb positional attack from the other team, get the ball and go quickly on space to score. You will have an issue doing the first two if you defend with guys like Dembele.

Dembele is a solution for when Liverpool run out of time and forget to defend.

True , but ...

Imagine playing like shit , scoring a goal and then u put your hands in the ears as a celebration in front of your own crowd like you're some hot shot when in reality u were shit this season.

U go on after that to display the same shit performance the crowd got used to , of course they're gonna whistle you
