Call me crazy but to me La Liga is way more important than the Champions league, mainly because I feel La Liga is a better representation of which team is better between Barca and Madrid; less luck factor. It is like playing roulette. It is more likely that the ratio of black to red is closer to 1:1 the more rounds you play (law of large numbers)

Anyhow.. my point is I know for a fact we are a better team than Madrid. If we only get to sign Coutinho then we are settled. He can alternate between LW and CM as per the requirements

Madrid keep on winning in a very unsexy manner. It is like Zidane has that weird positive energy, even though their team isnt really that sexy

we aren't better than madrid right now, it took messi having amongst his top 3 games ever and TS making like 10 saves for us to beat them at their stadium. however, currently we are the only team that is capable of beating them (as evident last season) and the only team with the mental edge on them, which probably stems from the fear their core players have of us from the days we used to regularly beat them. i do think with the signing of dembele and a quality midfielder we could match or possibly overtake real.

I honestly know we are better (i am bias btw), but they have been more consistent. We have lost the league last season... those stupid draws and loses against deportivo and betis i believe. Cant wait for our wins on both legs in the super

P.s the key difference between both teams last season was Zidane and Lucho .. one brought the best out of his players and the other did more damage than good

That's what EPL fans say about their league :x

In the end, I think CL brings more fame to a club.

You quote that luck factor, but that's also why some CL campaigns have been legendary.

CL is a fight between the best of the best.

True, but there is somehow less reliance on consistency and more on the path you fall in. But again, you should be ready to beat the best just in case you face them :)

You can win La liga with wins over small teams and with losing against all bigger teams like Real, Atletico, Sevilla.
While RM can have wins in big matches but play too many draws against smaller teams and lose a title.

So, it is not that simple.

La Liga is more about being consistent over 9-10 Months and mostly about winning consistently against small teams.
Champions league is on the other hand a cup competition where you need some luck, form in a right moment (March-April-May), avoid injuries in key moments, being lucky with draws etc.

But to some extent, Champions league is a competition for big boys, because you are faced with "a sudden death".
If you lose, you are out, there is no 2nd chance. It requires a lot of mental strength also.
While in La liga, if you lose against RM/Atletico this Sunday, you can neutralize it next week if you win against Rayo and Real loses against Betis.

So, both competitions have pros and cons and they require different set of mental and consistency skills.

Yann Orhan is a smart man.

Capitalizing on this crazy summer window to generate followers and traffic to his twitter.

Can't blame a man for taking advantage of a good opportunity.

Yeah, but I still don't like people that post fake news.

God bless Trump for making that term mainstream.

It's actually perfect for so many situations. Fake news is everywhere.
