they wont sell.
they had money to get him anyway. the epl has already started. they would be stupid to sell

I think we'll get him. Once he hands in an official request, that changes everything. Makes no sense keeping a player who doesn't want to stay at the club anymore and FSG has to accept that.

How so? It's not like he's going to down tools. Nothing has really changed except the optics of the situation.

it makes alot of sense. LFC are a club on the stock market. That is why FSG put out that statement to clear the air. Its been less than a week since they put that statement out. They would look really bad if he left now. They also apparently rejected his official request. The way they're heading, they might say no and stall until the window ends. He'll most likely get over it as soon as the window ends. They have all the power in the world in this deal. He just signed a 5 year contract in January and he doesnt have a release clause. We need him more than they do. All the logic in this deal says we wont get him. I wont get my hopes up just to be shut down.

This whole saga is hilarious.

Fucking hell Liverpool are in full meltdown mode and the whole world is ridiculing them. I'm in tears over the some of the stuff I'm reading on twitter.

You must be a low-key troll... If Coutinho is an "every summer" type signing.. what are Gomes, Digne, Arda, Paco, Semedo etc?

Hes right though. Countinho aint really a Suarez or Neymar. He isnt a marquee signing, he isnt even our first choice. He'll just be a very good signing.

He is a big signing that massively improves the team. Whether he is first choice or not doesnt really matter. Nor were Ronaldinho or Suarez.

'Marquee signing' is just words that doesnt really mean much.

Opinions are opinions. For me Coutinho is in the top 5 players in the PL, Liverpool are inconsistent.. that is why he isn't rated as highly as he should be.

+ There isn't any Neymar/Suarez's on the market so that's nonsense. Name a marquee signing who we were after or who we could get?....

Dudes, our midfield looks like a wrecked methhead, everybody who saw us play in the CL last year figured that out...

There is no reason to look for excuses... we need this guy or else we're fuc.

Please just take Gomes as a swap, we will add some cents on it if you want, he plays direct football, good on counterattacks, somewhat can press maybe, good looking, full beard, not balding, goes to the gym alot, tall, straight teeth, played with Messi and Paco, can shield the ball near his own penalty box against sideline, never slipped and conceded goal after that, we won't even add 20m clause if he wins balon dor.

Rakitic, Cillesen and use money to get VVD.

Would have a better team than they have now. Especially with a pissed off Coutinho.

Only way Liverpool save face while selling him is to ask for players that improve them.

Guessing Coutinho was being polite and hoping it can be resolved in a civilized manner but as you can see it didn't work out that way and he's decided to put in a transfer request.

which surprised me a bit as I thought maybe if they decided once and for all he wouldn't be coming he would respect the club's decision and wait for next year. but it seems like that may not be the case after all.
