Ideal would ofcourse have been Verratti, but Coutinho is probably our best bet, atleast to replace Iniesta.
We still need that Xavi replacement, which would have been Verratti.
Im not a huge fan of Seri since he plays to many crossballs while we rather needs a CM that plays the ball on the ground with cuthrough passes.

Who cares in the end? Net overspend will be bigger, but we would get fantastic RB, Iniesta replacement and 20yr old Neymar replacement.

Next summer get rid of few MFs (if we cant get rid of them now) and buy controller type of MF and we are good to go. Perhaps looking at 9 as well given Suarez form...

Yes I think well worth the investment for sure. We cannot rely on Iniesta anymore.

The likes of Semedo,Umtiti,Dembele and Possibly Coutinho assuming we get him will come a long way building up a good talented core of young players.

We simply need to stop buying average/garbage players that are either old or don't fit what we need or they are simply not good enough.

For every Umtiti and Semedo etc we end up buying the likes of Arda,Gomes,Paulinho,Douglas etc. We sign some gems but we end up flooding the squad with average/garbage players that are either old or don't fit what we need.

I hope we have a slow start to get the board out. It's the second half of the season that really matters anyway. As we've learned the hard way a few times before.

We need a solid start for Morale and confidence. It's been a tumultuous offseason with everything that's happened with Neymar etc.

It can't and hopefully won't get worse. We were fucked pretty badly in the supercup. A couple more defeats and motivation will be very low.

The signing of Dembele and possibly Cou will give us more quality on the field.

Valerde needs to do his best to insulate the squad from all the chaos happening with the board.

We can't let the politics affect us on the pitch.

Let Agusti Benedito and Laporta take care of that.

I disagree. Nobody should ever "hope" that we have a slow start.

While it could happen, it doesn't mean that we should want it to happen.

It's Coutinho who has to throw the kitchen sink like Dembele. Right now that might be too late too.
