Mancini’s son claims super agent Kia Joorabchian controls Inter
Roberto Mancini’s son Filippo has released an interview with FcInter1908.it commenting on the club’s decision to sack his dad and the current status of the club.
“My dad always did the good of Inter, he loves this club. He was used to a different kind of football, but the arrival of Thohir and the Chinese ownership changed many things.”
“Those people don’t care about football. Business is all they care of and I have the feeling that’s not good for Inter. Just a few years ago, Inter had a power that was second to none worldwide; new owners have no clue about what Inter is.”
“Kia Joorabchian and other counsellors are behind this club. My dad was left disappointed because there was no one who told him how things were really going. The nerazzurri are not a strong club right now, they need a strong figure that takes care of football aspects all day long. That’s not a priority of new owners; it looks like they’ve bought a toy.”
“They [Suning] did not like dad and dad did not like them. He saw them twice, they bought Inter and disappeared straight away. They need to understand that they need passion and soul to manage a club like Inter. I am sorry for how it ended up. He [Mancini] was the only one to take responsibility with fans and it is impossible to propose a contract extension asking him not to get involved in the transfer market.”
“He’s the one who sits on the bench on Sundays and he should be allowed to take decision concerning arrivals and departures of players, because he’s the one that everyone blames if things don’t work on the pitch. He’s one of the best managers out there, I don’t think he will take a sabbatical.”
