We are Barcelona. We have and will have best attackers in the world to form our super trident. However, you can buy best attackers but you can't buy next Xavi/Iniesta. You have the best trident but you can't control it, you lose the ball often, there got to be someone to do the dirty work. Will the best attackers in the world do the dirty work? No. So the midfielders have to do the dirty work. Therefore, they are b2b. Did you see Iniesta's clearance in our box in the game vs RM? Don has been playing b2b for us for a while now. We just refuse to accept that.

Coutinho would offer more now than Iniesta does defensively and would be brilliant addition to the squad.

No. The priority for us is to get Dembele integrated. He will create chances for us.
In 2015 we were in big trouble, we added a box-to-box in Rakitic, we won champions.
In 2017 we were in big trouble again, we added a box-to-box in Paulinho, we are okay now.
Tiki-taka is dead. Even Pep has moved on. Box-to-box is the future.

😆😆😆😆😆😆
Correlation is not.......

Its not only about "bidding the most money"
Its also about where the player wants to go, if the club is willing to sell.
There were a couple of players that rejected us due to lack of playing time when we had NSM.

City has, imo, the best AM in the world already so theres really no spot for him. He wont take Jesus spot either.
Chelsea doesnt fit his playingstyle and arent as good as either PSG, RM, City or Barcelona (if we get the players we need).
PSG has Verratti, and i think next year theyll pay for Mbappe?
He also seems to prefer Barcelona before RM.

City is only playing the possesion football closest to Barcelona Pep era. "Tiki-taka" is not dead, you just need the players for it, which we currently does not.
Valverde is trying to bring it back somewhat, but he needs the players for it.

Your logic makes no sense; correlation does not imply causation.

By your same logic:

We bought Douglas in 2015 when we were in trouble and won the treble.
We bought Deulofeu in 2017 when we were in perhaps greater trouble and are on track to have a good season.

Let's be real, our success in 2015 mainly had to do with Messi moving to RW and MSN all catching fire at the same time and torching every team we faced. Our success so far this season has to do with Real massively under performing and Valverde tweaking our system to be more results-orientated rather than pleasing on the eyes.

Did Rakitic and Paulinho contribute to the team positively in 2015 and 2017 respectively? Sure, but they weren't the integral reason for our success.

You're welcome
Seems like a reporter simply taking liberty with the "I told Coutinho I have found suitable houses" statement by Paulinho in that recent interview.

For me MSN in 2015 worked because we were able to improve our defense despite having 3 superstars. Rakitic gave us the balance. A technically poor player Paulinho can work in 2017 because of the balance again.

To an extent that is true but also it worked because Rakitic was not good enough techincally as a Barca mid and Lucho found a way to mask this with Alves and Messi with Rakitic picking up more of the defensive positioning to cover them.

Raki did a good job but nothing that lots of other players couldnt have.

I would say the best Raki has ever been for Barca is the past 4/6 weeks or so. Say that as huge critic of his but fairs fair he has been very good lately.

Pep's City plays more like 2005 Arsenal for me. Most chances come from fast transition play, not tikitaka which happened in 2009 near the box between Messi, Pedro, Dani Alves and Villa. Tikitaka is dead.
