Great suicide lineup for the CL. Would get battered by any side that could counter.

To be fair Iniesta is defensively on the same level as Coutinho or maybe just a bit better. Also Dembele is for sure better defensively than Neymar and with that line up we won CL. It is possible to play with this line up but than you must have the ball in your feet most of the time.

Majority of us hate the football with current 4-4-2 formation but on the other hand we are affraid to play with Coutinho and Dembele. :D I am sure this could work just fine al long as we play possession football like we did before.

Iniesta plays as CM for us, with Coutinho as LW it would be impossible for him to track back adequately to cover the opposing team's midfield once we lose possession. We all know Messi is a passenger defensively and all it would take it Paulinho making a failed forward run for us to be exposed miserably.

I can already imagine Dembele, Coutinho, Messi, Suarez and Pauinho on the edge of the opponents box trying to create when all of a sudden we lose the ball and have only Busi plus the centre backs to play defense since the full backs are also bound to be high up the pitch.

I'm sure Dembele and Coutinho have equal if not better defensive capabilities than Neymar, but they'll be far too high up the pitch to make a difference on opposition counter attacks.

Even JamDav1982 can counterattack that lineup and score a few goals

Valverde is good at making a balanced team. Don't be surprised to see one of the stars on the bench while others play. Iniesta and dembele will probably rested often.

He said by Dec 3 it will be clear. Either Liverpool will accept an offer or reject it. There won't be another drawn out transfer saga.

I cannot speak Portuguese, but even by using Google Translate it's pretty clear what Marcelo Bechler said.

I'd expect by the recent events (Klopp's words about Coutinho not guarateed to stay and the Nike leak yesterday) that this deal will likely happen.

I hope so, but cannot trust anyone after what happened last summer. And these accounts suck at translating.

Losing Neymar, getting Dembélé and Coutinho while fucking RM in Bernaleo without both of them. What a year this would've been if we can sign Coutinho in the next few days.

this is a done deal, will likely be wrapped up in Jan with him joining next summer, he's cup tied to the CL and the league is pretty much ours. Liverpool spending that much on VVD and rumours of Lemar all point strongly to Coutinhos exit.

would like to see us bring in a CB to replace Masch and possibly Arthur this January. I'm starting to think we'll pass on Griezmann if Suarez can regain more form and im not as hyped about the Frenchman as i was before.

We also didn't have Umtiti. :umtiti:

Assuming we sign Coutinho, Madrid will be facing a whole new beast in the May Clasico.
