Exactly. If anything, PSG signing Coutinho would make it more likely for Verratti to stay there because it would show him they intend to make a "winning team". And on the other hand it would be harder for PSG to convince Coutinho if he'd know he's coming as Verratti's "replacement" and not to play together with him to improve the team.

He's the only Brazilian player that should be considered. Apart from the young talents ofc who we loan with a buy option.
But from any of the current Brazilian established players, he's the only one good enough for Barca right now.
Problem however with signing Coutinho is that he's still not exactly the type of player we need, however he'd great. Either him or Eriksen. But for that, I'd like to see us sell a few midfielders first, because if Verratti magically becomes available next summer, we have to go for him again.

Not true, PSG can replace Verratti with someone like Coutinho because with Matuidi they already have someone to do the more defensive and controlling job and let a player like Coutinho do offensive work.
But they can of course play verratti and Coutinho on the midfield and bench or sell Matuidi.

Nah, Matuidi isn't someone to dictate the tempo and control the midfield at all. He's much more of a hardworking b2b midfielder.

He's not Verratti but he can play alongside Coutinho... So yes a midfield with Coutinho and without verratti is possible with matuidi and motta. That's what I am saying.
If PSG have both Verratti and Coutinho in midfield they go straight to my second fave team ( unless ManU keep Ibra on of course )
