But that’s what a lot of said before he was signed. He’s basically a wing playmaker.

He is not a CM though.

Don't think he can co-exist with Iniesta in the midfield nor can he play in the attack while Messi is there since they both occupy the same spaces. He's been very mediocre so far, even Paulinho, Dembele, Semedo proved to be useful in their first few minutes, hell even Deu was decent at first.

It doesn't help that he's joined midseason though, I have faith he'll come good, too talented not to.

My patience with this guy is in general paper thin because of his age and the money involved. Will give him a pass for most of the game considering the conditions, but he will have to start delivering big very soon. Far less worried about Dembele being a flop than him to be brutally honest.

One of the reasons he was signed in January was so he could be ready to go next season, no adaptation needed.

It like I’ve been saying since that Alaves game. One of Messi/Suarez will have to be benched...

Coutinho in midfield is going to be a cluster fuck. He doesn’t have the positional discipline.

Well... He seems very positionally unaware. When he plays with Messi, they seem to literary stepping on each other's toes. Also he played as a LW the whole match and I don't think he gelled great with Iniesta.

Anyway, still it's only his 3rd game so... Too early to draw conclusions.
