I think it's not even debatable that Coutinho was Liverpool's best player. We need to think as a Liverpool fan here to understand how they must feel, outside of what they claim. Coutinho didn't sign with them playing like how he is now. When they got him he was also wanted by Southampton, so you can have an idea. Highly rated Brazilian players don't just sign with Liverpool, it's not a logical and natural destination for them. They sign with Barca, Madrid, it's how it is. Liverpool and most other PL teams have access to next tier Brazilian/Argentinian players, not 1st tier like the likes of Neymar, Coutinho etc.
They invested years in him to get him to this level, and for them to get a similar return, it takes more than money. It's not like they take the money and sign Hazard, or Sanchez, the only players close to or as good as Coutinho in that position (or close to it) in the Premier League. They don't have the pull to sign a ready made player like Coutinho. So, whatever they do, they won't sign a top class player. This is a big problem for them. Luckily they might have struck gold with Salah, a player that has been continuously underrated at just about every club he's been until Liverpool. Seems like he has world class potential in him, and not many would've banked on that.

PSG well and truly fucked the transfer market up. they need to sell players now to avoid FFP, Europes elite should tell them to piss off and boycott buying from them.
we certainly weren't 'taken to the cleaners' here and anyone thinking the transfer bubble will burst anytime soon need to think again. this will knock on and Monaco will be wanting 100m+ for Lemar. im so damn happy we got Dembele last summer and Coutinho now because after the world cup i dread to think what fees will rise to. Kane, Dybala, Hazard etc will be 150m+ minimum. Man City are the real winners here though getting in before this shitfest, KdB for 55mil!

You know it's funny reading places like Redcafe on how they don't rate Coutinho as highly as he should be. I mean sure the whole United-Liverpool rivalry but even despite that no harm in ratiting some of the players they have instead of "Coutinho is good but not world class and Liverpool should be excited they got the money for him"

Think all EU passports are red. There was just a story how Croatia is only or onbof two EU countries to have a blue passport.
