8 - Pedri

International football is a slower pace and lower on quality so I think he would do well for Spain in either tournament. In 08 Spain won the Euro Championships with Xavi/Iniesta as two of the best players, both didn't have spectacular 07/08 Barcelona seasons.

It would obviously be insanity for him to go to both the Olympics and Euro Champs though. Hopefully he is a part of the Euro Champs squad if it comes down to one.

To be fair with how Spain currently are, I can't see them going overly far in the tournament anyway. Their most recent big tournament performances have been pretty poor.

I personally thought he was okay vs Granada. Did his part, but we had zero movement in the box. Just Pique standing there, which I felt killed us offensively.

Should have started.

Definitely a weak squad where, to me, LE has had them performing over their talent level based off of hard work and motivation.

They would have to get an easy run to go far, its hard to win tournaments when your spearheaded by form attackers (Paco in LE early days, Gerard Moreno now) and not talent attackers. Reminds me of the days in years gone by when De Pedro, Alfonso, Urzaiz etc would find them inside the Spain team.

Zero problem in my eyes in Pedri starting and Spain go all the way to the final, or being on the bench and they go out in the group stage. It's a great experience.

Oh yes most definitely, tournaments like this don't come around very often and especially if you're fit to go, no player would turn it down. To be fair there is no real obvious favourite, each nation has their strengths and weaknesses.

People need to be calm and lower their expectations with those young kids. Few games and they already called him the next iniesta. This doesnt help. He is starting all games because we have no choice than to play him. Look at the bench there are no alternatives. Hard to say if and who of all those young guys will succeed here. Too Early to judge them.

I think overall he does a decent job for a kid and someone who just started his career but i feel that people might end up disappointed duo the high expectations.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
He is drained, both physically and mentally, even missing the simplest of passes... He needs to take some load of his shoulders...

Can't score to save his life. Almost cost us the game with that shoot after Messi's penalty miss. Even a Sunday league player would score that.

hmmmm , like 1-2 months before he was guarding the ball very well , didn't make any errors mostly /etc .

These days he loses a lot of balls and is rather slow.

Bad for last month imo

He was poor again today and the referee bailed him out on a couple occasions with some cheap fouls when he just basically lost possession.

I thought Pedri was better today. We just have to grind it out until the end of the season now.

It is Pedri or no one in midfield. Not unless Koeman goes full Valverde and plays Bob against Atletico.
