His touches and slick passing are no surprise at this point.

His switches though are so consistent, just effortlessly hitting a great long ball again and again. We've missed a midfielder who can do this for so long.

The only thing he lacks is sharper movement. But he thinks quick and has superb technique, so if he's surrounded by fast players he's gonna be golden.

The team must be training these switches a lot, because every player executes them much better than before. Even Pique was known for his crazy unprecise floaters, and no he's landing them sharper too.
