8 - Pedri

As good pedri was and hopefully would become, dont throw don Iniesta name easily. Let the boy build his name without much pressure.

Well, last season there was some talk that some of us see some future Iniesta in Pedri, but wasn't that popular thought around here. Now that Xavi made the same comparison things look different and Pedri is backing up this claim with great display on the pitch.

My YouTube feed came up with this suggestion:

There is a very good chance Pedri, Gavi and De Jong will explode under Xavi. The real midfield trio is back.

Pedri and Gavi shone under Koeman too. Kids are just too good.

But yes Xavi is the right mentor. What a coach for these midfielders.. De Jong probably needed Xavi the most, to get out of his decline.

Xavi can make Gavi and Pedri elite players. Frenkie too actually.

De Jong last year was just as good or even better than his current form. There isn't much difference between Koeman and Xavi when it comes to De Jong.

Interesting one month ago when De Jong didn't play well, many wanted to ask Busi's head. Now Busi is still there and De Jong plays well

FDJ has those cycles when he's bad and when he's not.

Pretty sure he will be more consistent now that he's more influential in build-up, which was his biggest selling point from his Ajax days. Koeman making Frenkie our offensive runner #1 was necessity rather than choice. Auba and Ferran helped tremendously.

Frenkie is not the same. There's no way he scores that goal Vs Napoli earlier in his Barca career(he wouldn't dare to try). His confidence is all time high now, like rest of Barca. They are all very confident now.

To he fair he probably does not score that goal in another 10 attempts but frenkie under xavi is a different beast for sure.

The goalkeeper never expected Frenkie to kick. Surprised him completely. Frenkie too probably: "this actually worked?!".

Xavi added it to his arsenal or Frenkie riding sky high confidence. Probably combination of both.

Big fan but i don't think he will be able to play at that vs Bilbao game aka prime Iniesta level week in week out. Not yet

Maybe in 2 years he will.
