Great defending but expect more towards the goal.

Wow.

I knew he’d won it back loads.

Amount of attacks and counters that will create.

Iniesta was also quite good at tackling and intercepting. Pedri's lanky legs make him even better in that regard. Good game overall, but his final ball was lacking again.

His defending is so effortless and smooth, it?s like the opposing players just give him the ball.

Imagine one of the youngest, shortest, lightest guys in the team beating defensive records which have stood for over 10 years........

BBZ’s worst nightmare.

Well, this game was physically very demanding and he has run a lot and doing so at a pretty high pace. Can't blame him to lack the necessary freshness in his legs in the final third. He has time to improve that.

His defending style reminds me of Busquets. Very pleased with him not being overly dependent on "highlight" scenes only like a lot of young players. He looks well rounded already. I am hopeful.

The one I would compare him to is maybe Di Maria. A bit more composed and a bit less of a typical winger, but I still feel that he is a winger playing in the center.
He is tricky, good 1v1, works hard, combines well. But I don't see him having the vision of a midfielder, more of a winger (he sees the tactics better than the strategics, to put it in chess terms)
