8 - Pedri

The one I would compare him to is maybe Di Maria. A bit more composed and a bit less of a typical winger, but I still feel that he is a winger playing in the center.
He is tricky, good 1v1, works hard, combines well. But I don't see him having the vision of a midfielder, more of a winger (he sees the tactics better than the strategics, to put it in chess terms)

He is nothing like Di Maria.

Di Maria is about as far away as a player as can get.

Another angle to try and argue for Puig in team...

I dont know whats wrong with you but it feels like you just looove to make controversial statements, puig best midfielder in the squad and now Pedri a winger and like di maria? Please...

He is nothing like a winger. He is an AM, he lacks pace to be a winger.

Di Maria?

In a world where Puig is a top 5 midfielder in the world, yeah.. might be.

Pedri is truly looking like the second coming of Iniesta, got that LW/CAM role to a tee, great balance with the ball, fantastic at winning the ball back too.

His talent is obvious to see, with the fact he was only really a regular in Las Palmas in Segunda since the turn of 2020, but has adapted to Barcelona better than any 80mil plus signing is telling.

His only real area for improvement to me is that he can drift out of games for periods of time but he's young and as he builds confidence will be more demanding in asking for the ball.

Would look more elegant if he pulled those fucking socks up and didnt wear shorts to his knees.

Very scruffy lad on the pitch.

His idol
