The square as I like to call it [Cubarsi-Inigo/Casado-Pedri] clearly works better when Pedri is down deep. I can see the idea of pushing Pedri up the pitch in the hole behind the front line but we lose a lot when he's pushed further up as he's just not that free flowing #10 kinda player.

His best position is undoubtedly the guy who plays deep like Xavi and helps control the tempo.

Yeah. It's a shame that he may not become a free flowing #10 despite having such great technique, control and passing ability. His plays in this game are like Zidane-esque/Riquelme-esque.

Barcelona are very satisfied with the effectiveness of the specific physical plan that was made for Pedri. It is a strength plan supervised by Julio Tous. Those responsible for physical fitness concluded that he did not benefit from excessive resting but quite the opposite and resting for two days left him predisposed to injuries. #FCB Via:

Shouldn't play on Tuesday or he will get Injured, de Jong-Casado should start, time for de Jong to earn his paycheck

Playing with pedri is like playing with 35 year old busquets or Xavi yeah some nice technique but physically cannot handle the game at all. He's slow he can't handle the press he's weak and can't hold the ball. He has no defensive presence he's like old busquets a traffic cone.

Most useless player that does absolutely nothing every game and keeps playing.
