Good post pimps, no way suarez has been the best player, he was in a 4 month slump.

Neymar and Suarez have been average all 2016 so far. Messi is carrying the attack and the midfield going forward.

Penaldo probably has the edge unfortunately for a few goals against a bottom half German team in Madrid and a late Classico winner where Barca had just stopped playing, whereas MSN were shut down in the CL to Atleti and in the Classico.

Neither of the top 3 had an amazing season imo. But all of them played well. All of them had periods when they were off form as well.

an avarage player with 27 goals and 15 assist, i can't even imagine all the others player in the world what a crap they are.

Suarez hasn´t been average for the whole of 2016.

He's been bad since the CL restarted which is the key point of the season. He was poor in the Arsenal games but came good in the second leg with a good goal after being terrible in the game. It was Messi's goals in the first leg that effectively won the tie.

He's been like Penaldo really in 2016. Not playing well but racking up hat-tricks against dross and scoring without doing much else. Maybe he will get the Ballon D'or after all (if Real don't win CL).

I don't blame Suarez though I think like Neymar he's played too much football. It'll only get worse next season with a grueling Copa America.

How is that outscoring both CRonaldo and Messi?
He outscored Messi and scored the same goals with CR.
Technically,he won't outscore Ronaldo this season,as CR has a lot of goals in the CL.I never understood why the CL goals don't count for the Golden Shoe race..

This thread has been fairly inactive since I posted, but did no one else really not think he was woeful yesterday? Maybe the goal glosses over his performance a bit, but he was a mess yesterday. One of his worst in the shirt. We're lucky the opposition have been packing it in lately.

I've come to terms with him missing chances or his poor first touch as he always deliveres in big matches.
We really can't ask more otherwise he'd be on Messi level and that's just not possible.

He also adds cojones and hunger to this team and that's very underrated.

Oh yeah, I adore Luis, and I don't mind the things he's 'weak' at, like his wall-passes etc. just thought yesterday he was non existent and his energy levels/movement were way down. He seemed to be constantly offside as a result of that too. Not worried about him or anything; it's been a long season. Just thought he had a bad game.

Debatable. The only reason why someone could rate him over Messi is his big amount of crucial goals in important matches.Other than that, even in this not-GOAT season,Messi was more important for the team.

This is presuming the voters are as much invested into Barca as the fans are to have noticed Messi's influence and importance this season. I don't expect them to be.
