I'm not excited at all by Suarez's impending move, at all. From a practical perspective he'll be missing until October at the very least, and will probably struggle without a proper pre-season behind him.

Then there's his mental state. He quite clearly has something wrong with him and the fact he's bitten a fellow player on three different occasions is just staggering, and totally inexcusable. And, there was the whole racial incident with Evra which stunk to high heaven.

It's one thing selling the front of the jersey to the corporate, ostentatious monster that is Qatar; it's one thing to drag the club through the mud regarding the ridiculous structuring of the Neymar deal; but signing Suarez on the back of his absurd actions is just unbelievable.

I'll support any player who wears blaugrana but I'll never come round to Suarez. A lot of the moral integrity Barca used to have has been washed away and now we're no better than the likes of Real Madrid. A sad indictment of our descent into just another club.

Barca are not just another club, it will take more than a sponsor or a troubled player to dilute what this club stands for. We have always signed top players for big money, it is part of what makes Barca, Barca. Crujff, Maradona, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Zlatan and Neymar are just a few of the big money signings we have made and we will continue to make big signings.

Suarez has problems but he is one hell of a player and gives 100% on the pitch, his teammates love him which says a lot about his true character away from the pressures of the game. Not being the main man will help him, he will not have to carry Barca like he did Liverpool and does with his National team. The pressure on him should be less on an individual level than at Liverpool and he will now have players on his level so he should be less frustrated during games.

The club is not in the market for choirboys, they want winners. Suarez can be an idiot but he is our idiot now and I will support him. I expect him to be a great success and will be loved by the fans for his great performances.

With the Suarez suspension and Neymar getting injured it'll be a while before we get to see the two of them alongside Messi. Really sucks.

So how likely is it that we Fifalona it up and get his suspension reduced?
Im not really in the know on how often this stuff goes down.
What are the chances we shave off a month or more? Or at least get them to drop the no training thing

Oh and Suarez 9 is looking pretty good on these new kits to me ....

I was warming up to the signing, but I never thought I'd say this: with Neymar's injury, I'm glad we're signing him.

Everyone will be once he steps on the pitch for us and does the business.
He is too good not to like when he is playing for you. And again I highly doubt we will see something crazy again from him this season.

ESPN is now reporting it too. They say the deal is about done for €76m and will be payed in 3 installments, the first of which Liverpool wants it to be at the moment of the signature and be for 60% of the total fee.

They also report that Luis Suarez will sign for 5 years and earn about €8m, which is considerably less than he currently earns at Liverpool so he took a paycut.

Here is the link in Spanish for those who understand/want to translate.

8m also puts him in a lesser tax bracket meaning that he'd make more than he would if he had a 10m+ salary on paper.

While Neymar is recovering and Suarez is banned and Asexis is sold :)cry:), can we look forward to Tello-Messi-Pedro?

Lol Tello is probably gone too. More like Deulofeu-Messi-Pedro. Adama and Munir might get some call ups to give depth. Either way, we're going to see early on what kind of mettle Deulofeu is made off.

Rafinha might also see some early run at RW.

Tello will be gone soon as well.

I reckon we'll see Pedro - Messi - Deulofeu the first couple of games or so till Neymar is back. Depends on whether the appeal on Suarez ban, the lenght of it will be shortened or not.

But if not, then those three might start then, or who knows, Lucho might suprise us.

People have a problem with Suarez diving but not with the countless Barca players who dive. People have a problem with handballs with Suarez but not Messi's blatant handball goal. People have a problem with racist comments from Suarez but not mono' mono'. People have a problem with Suarez cunty behavior but not Messi kicking a ball into the opponents stand.

All of you Barca moralists are pathetic.

This is one of the top 5 players in the world and some of you sit on your high horse like we are some kind of superior club with no corrupt behavior instead of being happy our attacking line will be the best in the world.

Ridiculous.
