Willing to pay £80m for Suarez, but not €50m for Benatia.

#ZubiLogic

A defender is on our shopping list as is a forward because that's what Lucho requested. World class forwards usually cost a lot of money you know? Also another example of someone thinking buying a forward suddenly means we won't get a defender. That's the most flawed logic here.

I understand that you guys don't aprove my candidates for new CB(Richards,Kaboul,Huth...)which I myself don't rate too high but I think after signing Suarez for 100m we can't afford anything better this year-Marquinhos and Benatia are out of our league. We should get the best of mediocre but cheap solutions and try to get the best out of this season.

Next year,we will have Suarez from the start and we should get all our money and attention on pile to buy some young, talented and simply put great CB for many years to come.Spending 150m all at once is too much even for City,Chelsea,Real...let alone us!

How is Benatia out of our league? You want the best of the mediocre, but cheap solutions, how is that gonna help us improve our defence? We need depth for sure, but we need to ensure that there is some quality and a certain standard there and not some random hacks.

If we can't get someone world class, we should still get someone that can be a backup to Bartra/Pique. There are a ton of defenders in South American leagues who are more than decent to be bench/rotation players for Barca.

I know I might get a lot of crap for saying this, but Barca should be a bit open minded and look into USA too. Omar Gonzalez is a great, very tall CB who is surprisingly good on the feet too. He would be a good backup and would cost probably 6 mill MAX.

Please point out where I've stated that the purchase of Suarez will result in no defenders being bought this summer?

I just find it staggering that we're prepared to pay such a large amount for a player that we don't really need, whereas I've read for the past few weeks and months over Zubi's reluctance to pay smaller amounts for world class players in positions we need to strengthen. If you can't realise that then there's something flawed in your logic.

I agree it's less important than a defender but we still need a lethal player in our attack. I think Zubi is reluctant because he doesn't want to overspend on an average player. Even if money is there you don't just throw it away.

We can't afford improveing our defence after we spent biggest money ever on improveing attack.I wish we could buy 100m attacker and 50m defender but we are not City,PSG...and this improvement of our attack won't be available half of the seson,so it is semi-improvement,literaly...

 A sports psychologist I understand since they pretty much act like coaches and guide players on how to react to different situations and circumstances on the pitch (or just dealing with stresses). A psychiatrist, as KingMessi said, would indicate that the club consider him mentally ill and are thinking about putting him on some sort of medication.

As they should

Don't see which medication they could possibly put him on? The dude is not depressive, not bipolar, doesn't suffer from anxiety attacks, ..., his only problem is that he likes to bite someone once a year. I really doubt there exists some kind of "anti-biting" medicine?

BLASPHEMY!
The math was done in another thread. We still have plenty of money for a CB or two. Now we just have to wait.

Suarez is almost here !!! I have nothing but positive feelings for this transfer. I have faith in him not to lash out stupidly again. He lasted a whole damn season before the relapse . Idk. Too much quality for me not to be happy. DIS GON BE GOOD!!!!!!
Also im going to laugh when he does great and everyone that wanted to burn him at the stake disappear with that talk.
