MetaPhysical the hypocrite 2011:

Busquets says something racist, that's ok these things happen in sport, players do it to wind each other up.

Suarez allegedly says something racist,OH NOEZ!! HE IS WORSE THAN HITLER!!!! HE IS THE ENEMY OF FOOTBALL!!!!!

No, he never said Busquets said something racist and that is ok, he always said he never said anything racist.

No, YOU personally have no credibility here. You clutch at straws to defend the player you like, and condemn the one you don't, for the same crime on at best the same evidence (footage without a direct sound feed).

You can't have it both ways, you can't acquit one on a lack of comprehensive proof, then condemn the other on if anything more subjective "proof".

there was no straw-clutching.

the biggest "proof," for me, was always that the player said nothing 'til prompted by his club. Marcelo keep quiet? yeah, sure.

then you add to that the behaviour of Real Madrid (manipulated footage, delay in bringing the accusation forward, distancing themselves from the video after their appeal was rejected) and you have a very suspicious case. which is why I'm inclined to believe nothing was said.

I'll hold my hands up and say I was wrong if Suarez is cleared by video evidence. but the testimony of the player is a big deal for me, and Evra saying he was racially abused makes me believe that he was. especially considering how flustered he got with Suarez during the game.

Nope, I can't accept that. Its in essence exactly the same scenario, yet you have assumed polar opposite positions in each case, which match up to your own bias. Am afraid its a willingness to turn a blind eye to the guy you like, and jumping to conclussions for the one you don't. Poor show old boy, poor show.

Evra has got form for accusations like this. Think that's what kicked off the scrap at Chelsea, which was proven to be false. Nothing worse than some wanker using racism to play the victim.

For Suarez to say it 10 times I'm surprised nobody else seems to have heard it.

Evra has a lot going against him due to his previous accusations and his behaviour at the last WC which led his own FA to ban him for 5 games (Lillian Thuram wanted him to be banned for life).

Quite simply, Evra should tell us all what he said, because like he said there's video footage. So if Suarez called him something 10 times or even once then it'll be on there, won't it?

My gut feeling is that Evra won't tell us anything of the sort though, and quite frankly it's like the boy who cried wolf. He's done it several times before, all turned out to be absolute bollocks, and I imagine this won't be any different. Frankly, it's embarrassing.

not really bothered by what you can accept or not, Sergi.

it is in essence the same scenario, but not in actuality, not in the details. and the details are what have shaped my opinion on both cases.

like I said, if the video evidence comes out and clears Suarez, or especially if Evra retracts his claim, then I'll happy admit the falsehood of my opinion and the haste I displayed in reaching it. but until that happens... deal with it.

Meta, you are so obviously grasping at straws.

You keep mentioning what the official verdict on the Busquets issue was, but you refuse to comment about the official verdict last time Evra (allegedly) falsely claimed to be racially abused to defend himself against wrongdoing.

This is very similar to the Busquets issue, and in both cases they were players notorious for doing whatever it takes to get under the opponents skin.

Just admit you are a hypocrite and move on.

racist or not, though, I think he's a cunt.

So is Busquets, and both of them are damn good at their jobs because of it.

If it was true Evra would have certainly spoken to the man u management and especially his team-mates. Ferdinand was on Twitter complaining about our diving not long after the final whistle, didn't mention racism of any sort and that prick would of been the first to gob off. Nothing in this, just a horrible man trying to excuse his behaviour and the fact that he got ripped to shreds by a better player.

Player's reaction. Right.

Does it even have to be racist? He could have said anything in the world, but no, play the black card again. Every time someone plays that card it loses its meaning and an insult to all those who have suffered from racism and insult to the issue and history.

Exactly right. Racism in football still exists in my mind and when we do witness it on the football pitch we have to think twice before action is taken because others have used the race card to their benefit.

You see Meta probably thinks I am racist because I have ridiculed African football and backed Suarez against Ghana etc, whereas in reality I have more black blood in me than he does and thus I hate racists and racism, so he can get off his fucking high horse and kiss my backside.

You see I take racism very seriously and when a prick like Evra uses that to his advantage because he is a cunt, then that disgusts me even more.
