What if it was Newcastle playing in a cup final and you are 1-0 up going into the last seconds and the opponent has an empty net to fire the ball into and a newcastle player did it?

So, no disrespect intended towards you because if you answer the above that you wouldn't celebrate the newcastle player doing that, then yes I will claim you a liar. Again with no disrespect intended towards you.

No I would not celebrate the Newcastle player doing it. Because it would mean we are nothing but low down cheats, that needed to cheat to win a Cup Final. Newcastle fans would be defenseless against other fans taunts of 'cheats, you didn't deserve'. There would be no defence against it, and any Newcastle fan denying they cheated to win a Cup Final would be lying to themselves.

Cheating to win is a hollow victory I'm affraid. Especially when it is in its most blatant, lowest, diritest and profound form. Just because others do it doesn't make it OK at all.

And for the record, I'm not lying. Even though I understand why you would think so. Fact of the matter is that not all football fans are so unscrupulous and cynical.

@ Worms, you say Ghana are the biggest cheats like they paid off the linesman and the referee. They had nothing to do with decisions that wrongly went in their favour. That does not make them cheats. So one player went down like Di Maria after a Uruguay defender placed their palm on his back(pathetic it is indeed, but it seems such things pass as the standard for free kicks and PK's nowadays, especially if you watch Real Madrid matches every week). I'm sorry but that doesn't make them the biggest cheats of the tournament. Nor does the linesman missing an offiside in the build up to Suarez red card. That was a very fast situation and linesmen can make mistakes and not properly keep up with play all the time or see everything with total clarity in such a crowded box.

Are you going to say that no Uruguay players dived in that game? I have a feeling they dived more than Ghana.

As for Bias on the TV. It happens with every World Cup or Euros. Along with people or even coahes always claiming officials favour the host nations. I don't see what your problem is? Or where there is a rule stating commentary of World Cups must be totally neutral and their personal favourite teams in the tournament should be kept secret?

I remember a recent Barca match this season where Busquets showed how much of a cheat he is again trying to hand ball a goal bound effort. It's a pathetic disgrace and cheating at it's lowest and in all honesty he should have seen red. If fans of other clubs throw the cheat insult at us and hold up Busquets as a Exhibit A, how can you defend and retort what you know has some basis in truth? It is just pathetic for those that do try and retort what is clearly the truth w/ regard to Busquets. I applaud other Barca fans like myself who acknowledge when our players do disgraceful sh*t or are in the wrong. It shows that we are not mindless myopic cousins of Arsene Wenger.

What I don't understand Solskjaer gets praised for this, "he took one for the team" or something like that. How is this any different from Suarez?
Besides a last man foul bears a significantly higher risk of injuring the opponent than a handball.

But in both situations its a deliberate breaking of the rules as a last ditch effort.

They both got punished for it accordingly , besides, Ghana had the perfect opportunity to win the game , from the penalty spot.

And even after that , they still had the opportunity to win the game in the penalty shootout.

I have not read something this interesting in a long time. Seeing Meta on the verge of actually breaking the keyboard is sort of worrying. Its amusing to a certain extent, but then it gets worrying. Partly because in a way he is my internet-friend and the co-founder or Support-Spain in the WC, and partly because he looks scary.

Suarez move was not worse than Maradona's hand of god, nor was it worse than any other rule breaking move/action taken by a player in the world cup, but the 0.00001% of it working actually working makes it all that much more lucid. Given the stage, the minute, the stakes and the atrociousness. But at least he did not disguise it like some others. I still can't get over it because this is less likely than winning the lottery.

He is a weasel, you won't know where he will come out from but fuck man, he is too mind boggling to hate. But I can totally see where Meta was coming from. To play against him is to hate how much of a pest he is. I bet he has an exoskeleton, the one that you if you smash, would just reconfigure itself.

Another international goal today.

He's going to break Forlan's goal total for Uruguay by a considerable amount.

You see the thing is it weren't in Ghana, but the BBC and ITV was making out that all of the Africa nations support each other, you would think Africa was one country the way they where going on,they where patronizing them.Imagine if Denmark scored and the commentor started shouting "This is for Europe!!!" like they did when South Africa scored the first goal.

And that dive that led to the free kick was a blatant dive,I for one believe that the officials where told to help Ghana but I can't prove it.

31 and 22.

Unless Cavani gets his act together, Suarez will be Uruguay's all time top scorer by a considerable margin.
