I might have gotten a little too far with Europa Leauge but the claim was CL group stages matches are easier than La Liga games which is a ridiculous claim for me.

They're not necessarily easier but less important. If Barça finish 1st in their group, the amount of points is not important. But in the league, we need every point we can get.

Also the teams in La Liga don't have to be better than those in the CL for the matches to be harder. They've been playing us for years and developing strategies how to beat us (and other top teams), whereas many CL teams are cannon fodder that are hopelessly overwhelmed by our style of play.

The decision from CAS will not come soon, but they hope to get the ban suspended meanwhile.

It will be :D. Once they appeal the ban will be suspended for the time being. We will see Suarez playing in blaugrana very soon.
We just have to hope he doesn't end up suspended for the second half of the season.

Boring, fifa! I was looking forward to the press-conference during his presentation, but guess that will have to wait some months. I guess he'll just do the medical + contract-signing this week then.

There is too much TV revenue, jersey sales involved for Suarez to be suspended for 4 months with no football related activities. The high court will over rule it for sure they are just waiting for the WC to be over and everyone to take that in with no other distractions. In a few weeks you can bet top dollar the suspension will be lifted or left for just international games. The incident happened at a FIFA international it has nothing to do with LFP and UEFA there is no way it's holding up.

That would be a godsend
No pointless international games to risk him in? Sounds perfect to me.
Let's fifalona the hell out of this thing and get it reduced. Obviously we are very confident of doing just that.

I cant see that happening, where does the width come in that formation?

If it comes from the full backs there is not enough protection for the defence - Iniesta, Rakitic and Messi would be weak defensively.

Playing 4-4-2 these days is more of a counter attacking formation where full backs are more defensive and teams try and get ball forward quickly.

To be frank, we are not that effective with our width anymore. Teams put 6-7 players in the centre against us and we don't have any tall targetman to cross to so they are less worried about that.

I can understand the ban from playing football, but all Barca want to do is take a few pictures of him wearing the Barca kit and sign a contract. Seems like trivial disciplinary measures on FIFA's part for not allowing him to even take a few pictures.

Zubizarreta (director): "Anti-biting clause? No, there's no clause about how to behave. We can all make mistakes and should learn from it."

Bartomeu (president): "Suarez fee? Close to what some media say, lower than 85M. We'll announce it when we present him. It's a 5-year deal."
