BLASPHEMY!
So I have a question.
How likely is it that Suarez and his lawyers ask the CAS to suspend the ban until their final verdict is reached? My understanding is that they don't have to if they don't want to take the risk.
Also how likely is it that the CAS would grant the suspension? Seeing as they really don't have to.

With Messi's fitness being in question lately and Neymar being injured, we are really going to need someone to step up for a bit.
I have no question in my mind that Suarez can come in and immediately make a big impact and win us some games. I'm just a little worried about what's going to happen in a few weeks time.

It's incredible how Fifa bans this guy for four months. He is no saint of course, doing it for the 3rd time shows that he has some serious issues, but again, people that don't play the sport, never really played it, ban him from all activities?! WTF - this is his profession ffs! Can't believe if this goes through. Especially when considering how slow FIFA reacts when some of their corrupt executives are blamed for money laundring / black market ticketing / bribes etc.

Luis Suarez will this evening arrive in Barcelona, although the club won't be able to present him on Wednesday as was planned. [rac1]

I think Suarez was very fortunate to get only 4 months. The next ban could well be for life.

FIFA does discipline players, which is appropriate for the organization that governs the sport.

FIFA also accomplishes another primary objective of the organization, which is to make sure that the bribes keep flowing. Not bribes to players or coaches or refs, FIFA is against those. FIFA is completely committed to continuing bribes to FIFA officials, at both the FIFA level and the national level.
