When you think about it, the part that he can't train for 4 months (be forbidden to work) is very strange. I think that part will be overruled by the TAS, but the ban to play games will be upheld.

Have FIFA ever issued a similar punishment btw, that a player wasn't allowed to train for such a long period? Eg Cantona, was he allowed to train during his 8-month ban?

The ban is ridiculous to be honest Banning him for 4 months is one thing but not allowing him to train, attend football games, training grounds etc. is just nuts and completely unnecessary.

I think it's to make him see his life without football. That's the intention, to me at least.

I just want the ban to be as hard as possible.He should feel the pain.He has done it 3 times.He needs good lesson to not do it for the fourth.Just imagine if he does it again.He could be banned for a season.
