The competition doesn't really matter. Everyone was saying the goals would pile up after he scored his first. Well, he already scored his 1st goal for Barça. There are no excuses for a player of his caliber missing those 2 sitters yesterday. If it were Neymar, the thread would be in meltdown mode.

Every player misses good chances. There was a game a few weeks ago Messi had three misses that were maybe worse.

His finish for the goal wrong disallowed was a good one. It came at him at a hell of speed.

One thing no one needs to worry about is whether Suarez can finish or not. He is the best number 9 in the world.

Guess you missed his thread when he was hitting the post often. Messi was said to be finished, bad, should be sold, etc. Suarez cost 80 million. Those sitters he missed could be costly. Luckily they weren't against Valencia.
