I read quotes after the game from him saying he needs to recover his killer instinct and that he is thinking too much in front of goal. His overall game has been excellent so far and his goal against APOEL was different class. I think he'll start scoring consistently in the league very soon.

We spend to much time analyzing our killer attack, when the core of the problem lies in Lucho's crazy tactics.
We all know what Suarez can do, and making pressure on him just because he missed two sitters is crazy.

I feel what he is going through. To be really good in finishing ,one has to play on instincts rather than calculating about the move.He is not playing on instincts right now as he said in the interview because I think the pressure has got to him.I assure you when he plays even 1 good match where he scores a lot of goals,he will be unstoppable after that.

''Luchos crazy tactics'' are just a poor excuse for his misses. Actually, it's not an excuse at all. Suarez had to finish his chances there.
However, I think that once he scores a brace or a hattrick during a game, he'll become even more lethal (he plays brilliant despite not scoring goals). Let's give him some time.

I'm 'not' justifying his misses, just saying that these are normal, especially when you don't play for 4 months and change the club on the way. Also, substituting him in every game does have impact
on his confidence.

Guess you missed his thread when he was hitting the post often. Messi was said to be finished, bad, should be sold, etc. Suarez cost 80 million. Those sitters he missed could be costly. Luckily they weren't against Valencia.

He scored a legitimate goal that was a good finish.

Neymar, Suarez and Messi will all miss lots of chances. Lets keep it consistent and not go over the top on any of them for it as they are all top class finishers and have proved it.

Suarez gave an interview today, saying he has to recover his killer instinct. So he knows he's not in his best form yet. And obviously they will all miss chances. But the chances he had in such a difficult game, specially the 1st one, he has to convert. He cost a lot of money to score those goals. And he hasn't proved anything in Barça yet. His past with liverpool or ajax doesn't matter.

He's proved his huge potential and quick adaptation. Ok his finishing is off but it is his only weakness at the moment imo, and while I agree its obv very important i see no reasonable reason that it will last. It would have been so much more worrying if it turned out he could only play one position efficiently (9 or 7)

even taking into account his ridiculous price, i'd say he is set to succeed at the club

He has proved at Liverpool and Ajax that he is a good finisher.

I read those quotes from Suarez yesterday.

No matter how much he costs he will miss chances. Messi is one of the greatest finishers ever and probably the best ever it still doesnt stop the fact he will miss chances.

He did score against Valencia anyway. The officials got it wrong.

He will succeed, no doubt about it. But that 1st miss was huge for a player of his caliber. If Busi hadn't scored, the added pressure on him wouldn't be good.

He knows it as well, but finishers as good as Messi and Suarez dont lose their touch on front of goal.

I think he will have one huge breakout game and then he will be up and running.

He was the best player in the world last season for me!!

Sure, actually his second miss was huge as well, although he had done extremely well to get there. It really makes no sense when you rewatch it

Yet it's undeniable that he fits the team like a glove, I was initially against his coming but he sold me

He didn't really play competitively for 4 months and he's adapting to a new team and a new league. Only normal that he needs some adjusting.

Last game shows how bad Lucho is as a manager. There was no reason why Suarez shouldn't have played yesterday.
