As long as in the end he has a great season it will be fine. I remember the discussions in the forum when we were about to get him and our expectations. Suarez wasn't a talented youngster we bought for the future, he was meant for instant impact.

Of course, the talent is there, and Lucho has to bring out the best in him. He also needs to work on it and start scoring, as I don't think he's enjoying football much atm.

But ok, atm I still accept the fact of the long ban but much less I accept the pretext of his 1. season....

Suarez was bought to score goals but he was also bought so that his movement and danger of him not being marked will leave more room for Messi in this system.

I think that is been happening and since Suarez has come in Messi has been scoring more goals.

Its a matter of time before Suarez starts scoring. It looked much better for him and the team when the ball was played forward a bit quicker in the second half.

You really think? I'm scared as hell because he doesn't score. It's such a big difference. (last season). I mean, he's not getting many shots, chances etc.

Yeah, I'm not worried. Suarez will be fine.

Pedro as a sub makes sense. Suarez (seems to me) works harder than Neymar, is older than Neymar, and Messi isn't coming off. Pedro isn't just subbing for Suarez 1 for 1, he's also defensively making up for any tiredness in the rest of the team for the last 20-30 minutes. It also puts Messi back primarily in the center where he can rest more, as Pedro goes to the right wing.

I absolutely did not want Saurez, but I've been trying to be positive and get excited about the prospect of what he could bring. But he's not making it very easy. It's not just that he's not scoring, it's that he's offering so little period. If this were any other player like Pedro, we'd all be complaining about how dumb Lucho is for starting him over and over.

I never thought he was anywhere near as special as he was built up to be. Every game I hope I'm completely wrong and he becomes this unstoppable force, but at what point does he get benched for not doing this? I don't want us starting a player purely because of what he did for a different team in a different league last year, or because of his cost.

Is the great, magnificent, unprecedented holy trinity of MSN really looking that much better than Pedro/Messi/Alexis did? I don't think so at the moment. Well part of that is to blame on Neymar, the major disappointment of the MSN so far is certainly Suarez.

I'd be so happy if he scored a hat trick vs PSG and made my post look completely foolish!!

suarez may have had that assist but if you ask me then neymar had a bigger contribution in that goal.He brought the ball all the way from the midfield to that place.
