I guess you forgot that Suarez had knee surgery 6 weeks before the World Cup. Yet he was still able to single handedly destroy England before he lost his mind against Italy.

Tiki taka limits Suarez effectiveness to some extent. As long as that's the system, you won't see the full array of his abilities.

Most of the time it seems like it takes a year or more for players to adapt to barcas style of play. In my opinion only Villa fit in seamlessly right away. Alexis, Neymar and now Suarez all took time to figure out how to be effective. It took Alexis more than 1 season and Neymar has seemed to really find his place this year after struggling last year especially considering all the chaos going on tactically this season.

I think Suarez will really tear it up next year and I hope that whoever is coaching will have real ideas and stick with them. We may not have as strong a team all around as Madrid or Bayern but our front three is better than any and with the right tactics those 3 alone could take us far.

Neymar did not take time at all.He played amazing from the first match up until his injury.Only ac milan away was completely bad but he played well apart from that.It was after injury and transfer saga that he looked out of place.

Neymar played well last season, his finishing was horrible though and that had more to do with him being inexperienced than him needing to fit in. Suarez needs/needed confidence, if you watch over the match theres a huge difference between suarez before he scored and after he scored, he gained the ability to break players ankles again by the end of the match and actually looked comfortable on the ball.

Suarez is worth the money paid, just have to use him properly.

I agree we have to use him properly not like this but nevertheles he has a lot to prove yet to say it worth €81 mil.
The problem is this system of play is way too restrictive for our attackers and it is very hard to make them shine as they did in their previous club. Something like Lewandowski is also dealing with at Bayern. In that system he is no longer the player who had tons of spaces in the attack of BVB but the Bayern's forward who scores much less and looks like a total different player from what it used to look like.
Briefly:

1) for many Suarez was arguably the best player in the world or the best striker in the world last season.
Not for me. For me Suarez is overrated.

2) I have never been in favor of the purchase of this player, never.
Considering the point 1 + given the bad and psychopathic reputation that he has, I would not have bought him even if he cost 1 euro.

3) I do not like him as person. A person who bites repeatedly players (which fucking mental illness does he have to bite people!?!?) and is also banned for racist insults... for me can go fuck off, and do not want him in my club.

4) As I wrote before, he is a player we did not need (if a striker, a tower, like Mandzukic or Llorente). We could spend much better these 80 millions, we had other priorities (midfield and defense), but yes, in this case you are right, not his fault, the board is to blame.

I respect your views about it.

1. Imo he was among best two or three strikers in the world last season if not the best but he had tons of spaces compared to what he has at Barca.

2. If you hadn't been for him at the club you can only blame the board for chosing him and moreover paying for him a huge amount of cash.

3. There are plenty who share your view here but as long as he doesn't marry my doughter I'm perfectly fine with it. I'd like to think we are all grown up adults who understand a bit about professional football and the principles governing it.

4. Imo we must have reinforced our attack too and I'm very glad the board did it. The problem is our clueless coach doesn't have a single piece of idea of how to make use of three superclass players in our attack like Messi, Neymar and Suarez. And ofc there were also other compartments to be reinforced as well but I strongly stat the attack was one of them because it still relayed massively on Messi as Sanchez was non existing in CL matches and relatively poor (in terms of goals ) off of Camp Nou even in domestic competitions. And yeah, the board is indeed to blame for most of this shit !

For some reason he 'struggles' to bury quite easy finishes when it's delivered to him on a silver plate, but he owns the keeper if it's him working out the chance by himself.

Imo that's the combined effect of moving in a whole new tactical system, new much bigger club where he is no longer the first player of the team, the lack of spaces and the stupid chaos Barca's tactics is for most of time and due to losing his confidence considering all this and ofc the ban he recieved.

Come on man. I'm not saying he was shit last year but there is no doubt that he has improved big time this year. I saw a stat recently that showed Ney had something like 18 goals in 41 matches last year and this year he has 20 in 16.

Was Luis Suarez , Lucho signing? Im curious to know.

He was Zubi and Board signing. Lucho or someone told it in press conference. Zubi said to lucho that they are bringing suarez to the team and lucho said ''if you can sign him bring him''. I am sure lucho had no say in it, board wanted to save their asses with a marque signing.

I wouldn't be suprised if they presented him with a fait accompli...and he just had no choice but to approve it. It probably was probably something along these lines & we bought him for majority of our transfer budget & did not strenghten other areas properly & it strikes back now.

Diego Simeone: "Suarez is a player I like a lot and not just for his play, but for his intensity and his voracity"

D.Simeone: "Suarez is a complete player, he can turn, go in between the lines, score from distance, free-kicks, with his head..." [sport]

Imagine Suarez at A.Madrid with Simeone as his coach. Scary..
