And that's Luis Suarez. He plays like a cunt and occasionally crosses the line, but once the 90 minutes are up, he's a gentleman.

Wayne Rooney (not to mention even scummier scum like Giggs and Terry), take note.

i can't believe how much attention hba gets every time he posts. if hba decides to put his argument on a topic it's guaranteed 10+ pages

HBA, diving is cheating too. Don't see you on a crusade against that. If you just don't like Suarez? Fine, say so, move on, etc.

And a personal pet peeve of mine, I am not a fan of people who inform me of their opinion and then state it is 'FACT', whatever the topic. I know the above comment wasn't directed at me, just making a general observation. I like making up my own mind about things.

so is that what you call me needing to tone it down then?

by stating it is a fact that that what he did was cheating? also I don't remember putting it in big capital letters like you have done making it seem like I was being obnoxious. I don't appreciate that at all.

dude, get over it. How many months ago was that?

Continually bringing something up that happened ages ago is only going to drag the thread of topic.

focus on the points I have made on this subject, and make your own point if you disagree with what I have said.

Suarez crosses the line more often and with greater gusto than most other players around, tbh. he's pretty much the arch-cunt of football.

that said, he clearly channels all his cuntery into playing the game, so that would explain why he's so intolerable.

but I gotta be real: I don't see anything scummy in cheating on your woman. the lack of self-control is definitely a bit sad, but men are hardwired to screw around and there's a reason why 90% of famous sportsmen do it - sports is a testosterone-fuelled environment, a manly competition based on beating the other guy, and monogamy is totally feminine. that's not to say I advocate cheating. you should be faithful to your woman. but cheating is not the worst thing in the world. not even close.

what is scummy, though, is when you shag your brother's wife. or your friend's ex. or you screw around when your wife is pregnant with your child. so your examples are still good, I just wanted to clarify my position.

well u claim it as cheating but it was booked and they had a penalty and a red card was given, meaning the punishments were made. You can say its still cheating as its against the rules but does that mean someone tackling another player, and is subsequently booked for it, meaning it was against the rules are they still cheating and should be branded as a disgrace?

Saddam Hussein was executed for his crimes. he got severely punished. now does that lessen the absolute dickery of what he did? no.

so why should Suarez getting sent off lessen the dickery of what he did?

I know Ghana got a penalty, but a penalty under that kind of immense pressure is palpably not the same as a goal (in those situations a goal should simply be awarded) so that wasn't fair reparations to Ghana.

don't get me wrong, I'm mad at Gyan for missing the penalty and letting Suarez get away with it, but the red card & penalty award Suarez had to suffer doesn't revoke my right to be angry about what he did. not at all. you can tell me "well at least he got punished" and yeah, that's true, but it wasn't adequate punishment. and he got away with it anyway thanks to Gyan, which makes it even more galling.

you are trying to equate what Suarez did to someone making a foul and getting book for it. the two are clearly not on the same level, and I'm sure you are smart enough to know that.

His team survives to go through to the semi-finals when it was almost a certainty that they were going out given how little time there was left in the game. A red card and subsequent ban do not make up for that when he got the desired result he wanted as a result of his cheating.

Oh I agree completely, I named those three players for a reason. Sadly I would bet that 75%+ of married players cheat on their spouses, and a lot of the ones who don't it's as much about being Jesus freaks as it is about genuine loyalty.

It's a cunt thing to do because successful people should be self-aware enough to know that they lack self-control and not get married, but any gripe I have with people so obsessed with doing what they are supposed to even though monogamous love is rarely, if ever lasting, is a problem I have more with humanity in general than individual character flaws.

But fucking close family member's spouse, your friends girlfriend (when you are supposed to be a leader especially), or going to hookers while your wife is pregnant isn't merely cheating, it's pure scummery.
