Anyway, I'm done with this discussion as I've made my point.

No it couldnt as Alexis is not a CF and never will be. Alexis wouldnt get a game in this Barca team anyway.

He isnt as good as Suarez. Its not even close.

No one is saying all Suarez has is work rate but it is a huge help to have a player that puts in so much effort into a team where in reality he is there to help Messi and Neymar more than anything else.

Suarez has contributed to winning matches this season - Atletico (assist/goal), PSG (assist/goal) at home he was a big influence. He also assisted away to Real and came on to help turn the game against Almeria (two assists).

Yip that was an assist that was lucky but then he also had one where he beat Gimenez out wide then crossed in to Neymar who missed an easy header. So it works both ways.

Costa isnt better than Suarez on current form at all anyway.

It's obvious that the emphasis on direct football, and passes straight to the attackers is what is contributing the most to the amount of space available to the forwards (in particular Messi). Barca's attack has been stale for the past 2 seasons and you have to go back to Pep's final season when Messi could attack at his regular level.

Arguing with you is like going down a rabbit hole, I even for a few minutes forget what my original point was.

Anyway - this really is my final statement on this topic - His touch (2.4 turnovers and 1.5 dispossessions per game - highest in the team), finishing (2 goals in 27 shots in the league) and passing (76.8% - lowest on the team after Neymar who is at 76.3%) leave a lot to be desired and is certainly not what we would expect from Suarez. Saying he has been worth the 80M because he works hard, is unselfish and is making space for Messi is just overreaching and foolhardy. It is more than likely that Suarez will find his feet at Barca, as long as he doesn't get as frustrated and nervous as he has been so far.
